Title: My Bitcoin Game Post by: dvds414 on May 25, 2014, 06:53:08 PM I made a game based on Bitcoins that uses the same ideas the that silly Android game Cookie Clickers uses and then added a few things like a marketplace to you can take the earned Bitcoins in game and exchange them for some USD and actually invest in game as you would real life. In this game you are running a Bitcoin mining farm and you select what miners you use, you have to pay attention to electricity used, overclocking machines is an option, invalid shares may occur from overclocking. I basically made a very realistic game based on Bitcoin mining, difficulty is even simulated in the game. I also think if I were to put an ad at the beginning of the game or on the webpage I put the game out, I might even make it so people can turn their in-game currency into real cash (through some made-up exchange rate I come up with). I thought it was an interesting idea. If anyone is into the idea please say so. I plan to put up pics of the game if enough people say they like it.

Try to make it fun and educational at the same time and I am sure people will play it. Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: JessyMatt on May 25, 2014, 09:19:51 PM I wanna see pics.

Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: carb0nf1b3r on May 26, 2014, 01:24:50 AM I wanna see pics. I second that!! Anyone can make some post claiming anything they wish but if its feedback you want (not just "seeing" if this is a good idea or not) then post us some prof of said claim..i guarantee you will get loads more feedback this way Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: monsterbitty on May 26, 2014, 01:40:23 AM Sounds interesting.
Post some pictures of your development or something, so people can believe its true. Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: dvds414 on May 26, 2014, 03:43:08 AM Sounds interesting. Post some pictures of your development or something, so people can believe its true. I will post pictures now that I know this game is wanted! and yes I will have educational value behind it and yes I do plan on perhaps having some cash reward behind the game. The only issue with me posting a picture right now is that my artwork is so bad that the game looks awful even though the gameplay is perfect. If anyone wants to help with artwork I will be very much pleased! Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: CarlesPuyol on May 26, 2014, 07:53:21 AM I think the idea is not bad at all, but I cant imagine it. you have to put some pics to demonstrate your idea...

Alright guys I started making an interface (the game was just a console game for a while with a black window with some text and then I made a really crappy interface and now I'm redoing it). Here is a quick picture of what its started to look like after my last hour of trying to make a somewhat pretty interface for the game. Tell me what you think. Go ahead and ask questions if needed. http://i.gyazo.com/7e5491e9b55e985f20a25dec7615a055.png If you look here at the picture you can see the different miners you can buy (as of right now, more will be added soon). Also by hovering over one of them you get a little detail box shown below. Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: dvds414 on May 26, 2014, 08:19:14 PM I wanna see pics. I second that!! Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: Bibop on May 26, 2014, 08:20:39 PM Not so attractive design for my opinion..
didn't understand against who we will gonna play? Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: dvds414 on May 27, 2014, 02:18:31 AM Not so attractive design for my opinion.. didn't understand against who we will gonna play? As I mentioned above that I am a terrible artist. I need some help honestly. And you play against others online. You want to have the biggest machine running and the most BTC per second coming in compared to everyone else. Basically like a simulation game of sorts. Thank you very much! I just really need someone with an artistic ability to help me out a little bit. Anyone on this forum willing to help would make my day if they did. Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: Kprawn on May 27, 2014, 06:42:30 AM Well in my opinion, if you look at the sucess of the TV Series "Gold Rush" it would grow much faster, if you could simulate a "Gold Rush" scenario.
If someone can create a game, like "Sim Farm" where players can mine for "Gold Bitcoins" or "Satoshi's" it would be a instant hit. There is a need, and I will most deffenitely pay for such a game. And if the game, pays me for playing, I will spent a whole lot of time on it. But people need "animation" "GUI" not flat interface, database nonsense. I enjoy all Simulator type games anyways. {Do you still remember the first "Sim Ant and Sim Farm etc" games? Good luck, hope you create something stunning. Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: ranlo on May 27, 2014, 06:49:42 AM I voted yes for the game and think it's a cool idea... but how does this tie into real earnings? There was a similar site before named VirtualMiner that didn't catch on but that was because the owner never really did anything; the site was set up and left dormant.
I'm curious as to how one earns money through your game though. Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: TheEvilSocks on May 27, 2014, 06:53:16 AM YES!
I was waiting for this, but I suggest not paying people until you have a stable income using ads or something. When are you planning on releasing this? Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: Kprawn on May 27, 2014, 08:26:41 AM If VirtualMiner is the same game, I was thinking of, it was or is simply boring.
It's advertized as a game, where you get paid to play, but it never happens. And it's very complex. I was more thinking, of something in 3D and starts with a BIG launch, like the klondike rush in the days, where everyone runs out and stake a claim. After that, you buy claims, from other players or explore new ground. You also start as a newbie miner and "pan" for Bitcoingold. You then buy bigger equipment, with higher yield. {leveling} You can also trade / borrow / sell items. {If you not into mining yourself} If a game come out without a "Payment" option, it would be a missed opportunity. Look at the games out there now, who has this, and you would see, it's massive. {Pay people for their effort, and they will come} Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: Bibop on May 27, 2014, 07:35:20 PM I realized that the goal is to be better then others.
do the winner get something by being the best? Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: SOEHARTO on May 27, 2014, 08:42:25 PM not interest .not give profit or value . and for what ?
but good work. ;D Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: tianrui81317 on May 28, 2014, 09:39:24 PM I voted yes

I'd love to take part in BETA testing this to help refine it some (which is something I tried to do with VM as well but wasn't listened to). This is great idea! Sounds like the newest SIMS for the miner :D BR Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: eternalgloom on May 30, 2014, 06:03:01 PM Hi, This is great idea! Sounds like the newest SIMS for the miner :D BR Lol thats a good way of thinking of it! For all my supporters I have now created a website for this idea and would love anyone's support. http://thebitcoingame.webs.com/ (http://thebitcoingame.webs.com/) Thanks everyone Really interesting concept! Title: Re: My Bitcoin Game Post by: jeffersonairplane on May 30, 2014, 09:13:23 PM I'd probably play it to be honest. Seems alright
