Title: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: CryptoCurrencyInc.com on May 25, 2014, 08:14:58 PM Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014
PayPal is owned by the 13 inbred European Bloodlines of the Terrorist organization Illuminati. Bitcoin is meant to be "the" decentralize cryptocurrency to take them down. http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/bitcoin-set-overtake-paypal-2014/2014/05/25 Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: TheTruth4 on May 25, 2014, 08:16:50 PM I also heard Jesus Christ is returning to earth sometime later this year.

Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: agoraadnim on May 26, 2014, 12:23:43 AM I sure hope ANYTHING overtakes paypal. Been waiting for Paypl to die for some time. I've probably lost thousands to there broken senseless policy's. The worst currency site I've ever dealt with hands down.
Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: beetcoin on May 26, 2014, 01:10:11 AM btw does anyone know what paypal does with your funds when it's frozen? do they just take it for themselves and pocket it or where does it go?
Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: Nathonas on May 26, 2014, 03:26:32 AM Sensationalist claims like that do NOTHING for the legitimacy and growth of the bitcoin community. Be realistic please, Bitcoin will not outgrow Paypal in 1 year...we have a long time to go before we start to really challenge the existing monetary systems.

I would wager they get a decent interest rate on the funds they freeze for months at a time. It stuns me to see people here that will line up to use them for BTC transactions. Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: beetcoin on May 26, 2014, 07:58:32 AM imagine if your bank were going around looking for accounts to "freeze" the assets of... just so they could somehow just steal your money. so many people would be enraged.

You don't have to imagine that, it already happened, see Cyprus. I'm sure there is no conflict of interest there ::) Yeah my first reaction to the article was that it read like an advertisement for the company, honestly. They mention the company name way too many times. Human dishonesty / shadiness never fails to disappoint. -B- Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: Wandererfromthenorth on May 26, 2014, 01:49:50 PM I also heard Jesus Christ is returning to earth sometime later this year. However I don't think it will be possible in less than a year. That's sensationalist marketing. Just HODL and be patient... Bitcoins' time will come... :) ya.ya.yo! But just because Ebay and other online retailers such as Amazon are supporting them, they are able to survive. Now with Bitcoin around, they won't survive for too long, even with the help from Ebay. ;D Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: beetcoin on May 26, 2014, 06:42:22 PM Paypal downfall has been and will continue to be their bad customer service and the way they freeze you money for months. Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: Silly Money on May 26, 2014, 06:51:58 PM I would love it if this happens. PP needs knocking down a peg or two. They need to rethink their fees and I hope bitcoin forces them too.

Most merchants that accept paypal are very small businesses (and eBay sellers). IMO they are being taken advantage of because there is very little competition. Bitcoin provides that competition. They need to rethink their fees and I hope bitcoin forces them too. their fees are high because they either destroyed or bought their competition.. that's capitalism for you. It's not only that. The fees are high because of what it costs them. You can see it in what happened to Dwolla. Dwolla thought that they could come in and undercut PayPal. But then they found out that it's a lot more complicated then they thought and basically became just another PayPal. I hate PayPal but it's the underlying system that's really the main issue. Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: Beliathon on June 14, 2014, 07:06:37 PM I stopped reading at "illuminati". Anytime I see that conspiracy theory bullshit, I know it corresponds with a low IQ, and I swiftly lose interest.
Title: Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 Post by: Catmoonglow on June 14, 2014, 07:59:04 PM Not too sure about their sums here in this article. Overtake Western Union/PayPal THIS year? Bitcoin is nowhere near the volume for same purposes as they are.

Would you say that it is expensive to install consumer protections?
