Wikipedia is just a joke nowadays. I was an active member until 2011, and was a first hand witness to how the owner (Jimbo Wales) indulged in corrupt practices to tweak the articles. Most of the strategic articles (those related to politics, religion.etc) are controlled by organized cabals, and any edits by normal users are reverted within a matter of minutes. Anyone who is having the balls to complain about it will be immediately banned. 

English Wikipedia also depicts as a national hero the mass butcher of the first Ukrainian Civil War, Petljura, whose band slaughtered indiscriminately, Russians, Ukrainians, Jews, Poles, Germans, etc, and killed off whole towns.

If you have money, then you can do whatever you want with Wikipedia. You can edit and modify the articles they way you like. All you have to do is to pay money to that begger Jimbo Wales.

EDIT: I was replying to a question, that later got deleted. The question was, what does it all have to do with his election as a figurehead.

It's the facts itself. An oligarch in Russia and Ukraine is almost synonymous with Jew (Beresovskij, Kolomojskij, Hodorkovskij, Gusinskij, Abramovish, Valtsman, Vekselberg, Ahmetov). Many try to hide their origins, to make themselves more presentable "for the general consumption". It often backfires.

I've never heard of Ahmetov being a Jew.  If you think being a blonde haired Tatar is impossible - I should point out that those Tatars were originally European in appearance, the Cumans were named after their blonde hair and the Volga Bulgurs (ancestors of the Kazan Tatars) were Caucasian in appearance.  The dark Asian Tatar which describes 90%+ of Tatars today was the result of intermixing with the Mongols.

If non-religious Jews are added, it will increase further. Also, remember that a large number of Russian Jewish billionaires have settled elsewhere (such as Sergey Brin of Google).

I really think that a mod needs to step in and somehow clear this threads or join them.

We have 3 discussions about Ukraine with just the title being different whole the discussions are the same and now a thread that has gone in the same direction.
Last 4 posts had nothign to do with editing Wikipedia or this guy Proshenko and it's slowly turning into another mess.

Better to keep them separated, then they don't draw so much attention from paid trolls, like Pagan, who only target the threads with high reader counts. I have a feeling the "Meanwhile in Ukraine, the Revolution" is going to be hit by spammers soon as well.

But the discussion is no longer about that revolution, The title is misleading. Look at the last post it's about fighting in Donetsk when there is already a different thread exactly about Donetsk.

And about being paid , I already voiced my opinion on that. One of the most active members here is also paid per post , and ..nothing more.

I was just browsing through the English, Russian and Ukrainian versions of the Wikipedia. The Russian Wikipedia's coverage of the Ukrainian civil war is diagonally opposite of the coverage by the English / Ukrainian Wikipedia. What more evidence do we need, to prove the unreliability of Wikipedia?

Do you seriously trust to info from Wikipedia? IMO, it isn't real encyclopedia

Donetks thread is spammed, so I see no point posting there while the barrage lasts.

The people who argue on how unreliable wikipedia is are also the people who quote it as a source of information more often.
But really , who are you going to believe , wiki , fox , rt , or the 22yo blonde single with d cups that has just added you as a friend on facebook?
