Title: Selling Altera FPGA - Arria II GX
Post by: ibmnotibm on May 26, 2014, 12:59:42 PM
Hi,

Im not familiar with bitcoin mining, but I got hold off a lot of FPGAs (from bankrupt company) which might be useful for mining (?).

I have 200+ Altera FPGA - Arria II GX EP2AGX45DF25I5N, see http://www.buyaltera.com/scripts/partsearch.dll?Detail&name=EP2AGX45DF25I5N-ND&GSA_pos=1&WT.oss_r=1&WT.oss=EP2AGX45DF25I5N.

Most are still factory sealed, and I can sell in different quantities if needed. Will ship worldwide.

They retail at 455 USD in batches of 5. Please give me an offer or questions at ibmnotibm (at) gmail.com if you are interested.

Regards!

PS! If this is not useful for mining at all: Anybody know another forum or second-hand markets for FPGA? Google sent me here.

FPGAs aren't much good for mining Bitcoin, or even most altcoins, anymore - they were only briefly interesting as a gap between cpu/gpu and ASICs). The EEVblog forum is a fairly popular destination.  I'm sure reddit has a few subs as well.

This forum, of course, also has a marketplace: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0
Just be sure to note that you're not selling these *as* miners, or you'll just get a bunch or sarcastic replies ;)

Thank you very much for the information and tip. I have posted in the marketplace as well now, and will check out reddit.
