Title: Bitcoin Mining GPU Comparison spreadsheet
Post by: rckid1 on February 05, 2012, 04:11:21 AM
I am looking into upgrading my Multi Use comp (Gaming/Mining) and decided to do a hardware analysis based on initial cost and theoretical gain/cost to operate to get the number of days to break even.  I could use some suggestions as I am sure some of my data is skewed as far as power usage values go, but I am pretty confident in my MHash and card pricing.  I also included an efficiency hit for multi card setups as I figure the additional heat would lead to additional power draw and down time.  Anyway feel free to flame or criticize away that is why I am posting this, also if anyone would like to see more cards added I would be happy to add them.

You might want to look at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison as this page contains about the same information...

That page is where I got most of my information.  I just used that info to estimate a theoretical break even point for the cost of the GPU.

It does not take the varying value of bitcoin and difficulty. You cannot ignore this. you should consider these values with a potential increase of difficulty or decrease of price of the bitcoin and see what it does...
