but that photo was taken in 2006...

12/26/2006 @ 3:21

now that is not to say that this photo wasnt taken then, or that the camera had the wrong date and time on it or whatever.. just sayin

I think he might mean that photo might be a old one, hence this selling thread might be a scam.

I have used google image search to find the other thread back few years, so I am simply inquiring wtf he meant by that.

i try to make it a habit to check the date on photos before i buy a product. it gives me a small peace of mind as to the validity of the claims of the person selling that they do indeed have the item, and that the one pictured is the item they are selling, and in the same condition.

I was sure to include the other possibilities, but if the photo is 6 years old i would doubt the item would still be exactly the same shape unless it was never used.

if it is a Google images search then the seller should clearly state its a stock photo.

if one of the other possibilities is true, which is 100% feasible, then the seller has nothing to worry about.

EXIF data is about as accurate and reliable as the files date/time stamp.
