I read your article link.  Could be true.  I do see coins drifting upward maybe 1.2k- 1.5k

If this happens it will extend the life of older gear like ant miners s-1  .

Every fall the second benefit of mining occurs free heat.  Not for all miners, but lots of us want the free heat.

A boom around christmas, and then I hope we see a steady 1k per bitcoin after that then.

The word expert is used way too loosely and freely. There are no experts in this field.
Or any of the other 100 dozen fields I see the word used in.

This. What qualifies them as experts? Especially in a market driven largely by speculation,so called expert predictions may be self-fulfilling.

In the Netherlands I often hear the term "internet expert". They get invited to television programs and are used to advise judges on cases that have anything to do with a computer somewhere.

I would expect people that market themselves as "internet expert" to be fucking retarded and thus far my experience has verified that expectation. I guess "internet expert" is the synonym of dumbass  :D

In German television, there was a "bitcoin expert" on TV some months ago. He was the stereotypical geek. Long hair, unkempt, glasses, crooked teeth, somewhat shy. He was a guest in a early afternoon show usually watched by 40-60 year old females and he talked about the technical details of bitcoin. Perfect combination I would say ;)

Read a German article today, stating that the Netherlands are becoming Silicon Valley of Bitcoin, now with Mollie and Verotel providing easy access to bitcoin payments for 60,000 sellers. So cheers to you, Wachtwoord! You won't win the soccer world championship though ;)

Well, duh.  Anyone who is really technical and knows about the internet has a high-paying job!  They're not hanging around TV shows and courtrooms, because that would bore any real internet expert to tears.

As soon as a journalist says the word "expert" I know a deluge of bullshit is about to inundate my face.

We won't make it through the first round I'm afraid and if we do Brazil awaits in the second ;)

A while ago there was an "internet expert" in a Dutch program with many many viewers. They always call him in to talk about technical stuff. He doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

"Say Experts"  ??? What experts? There are none, IMO. Honestly, anyone who calls themselves an expert on bitcoin prices is not to be trusted. They are just guessing like everyone else.

In case (or if you like it better: When) bitcoin reaches 5 digits, anyone who has bought bitcoin below 500USD will be interviewed as "expert" :D

I can certainly see BTC hitting 2K soon.  By Christmas... not sure, but definitely in 2015.

I have a feeling we will slowly creep back up to $1000, maybe break ATH and float around the $1300-$1400 mark for a while...... I don't think we will see an explosive bubble that takes us up 5-10X above ATH like we did the previous years. I just feel like a lot of things have been changing and too many people are expecting another bubble.

But fuck man.... I really want to experience going through an explosive bubble where my wealth suddenly increases multiple times.... must be nice  :'(

Yep.  A year ago I'm sure there were people looking for a bubble that matched the previous one...but since the price was relatively 'low'...it may not have been on many people's minds.  The last bubble got a ton of attention from the media and new players in the BTC market.  As much as I'd like to be optimistic...I'll take the realistic viewpoint that we won't see an 'explosive' next bubble like 2013...but rather, a slow ascent to $1k by the end of the year.  Beyond that it depends on new developments and a lack of China (anything) or exchange train wrecks.

Probably it can be good if it goes to 2000, but in fact i feel like btc will go much more than that by the end of the year, im seeing 5k very easy.

I think if it reaches 1000 again, it will proberly attract new people again, and it could drive the price up even further.
1000$ as the new Bitcoin standart would be really nice, i hope we dont see a big burst to under 1000 after that.
