All information needs to be absolutely accurate. I'm not saying either has been mentioned, but threats and/or violence is not the way forward. If this is indeed a minor and he does in fact live in California, a person needs to be very aware of contract law regarding miners there. Ignoring the parents making good on the kid's debt, is there enough info in the forums that any police/court would do anything?
The other point I wish to make is obviously this individual was busy on the forums. This thread is public and obviously visible to him/her as well. This confirms the address (or confirms he's around there, or that someone connected to the lendee lives there). Combined with request for ID or a utility bill showing the lendee lives there sounds like a fair way to prevent large loans lost to fraud.But, this eliminates the loan market for those seeking a cover for Bank-Dwolla transfers, which, at least for me, accounts for many of the transfers. .... Might it make sense to pay out proportional amounts to the lenders from the account as the coins come in (or every few days, since every day would be a pain)? It's great that they're getting their money back, but it's already inconvenient enough for all the lenders who have had to do without their money since the scam. Waiting another month or so to get their money back sounds annoying, when they could be doing things with the money in the mean time (or bitcoin could crash / soar in that period).
