Title: Today, my friends, after months of endurance, have broken over $600.
Post by: byt411 on May 30, 2014, 12:25:23 PM
Finally... I've been waiting for this for so long.

Me, too! Now, if only davout would return the 1,132 BTC he stole from via his InstaWallet "hack", I'd be golden.

I'm not a miner. When I got them, they were only in the double digits.

So you are really rich man now

No, because they got stolen. Lol, stupid.

I'm both happy and sad about the price rising, lol. First, my miners make more in fiat, but I get a salary in btc, but its a fixed amount in USD, so I get less btc every time lol.

Sorry for your loss! BTC is on a run today. Hopefully this is just the beginning of an upward trend.

That's utter bullshit. Fixing your salary to fiat? An insult. What a disgrace, you should quit.

Hey, I don't have an option you know. It's not my choice, I'd much rather have it at fixed btc.

Fixing it to BTC would be even more stupid than fixing it to fiat. Fix it to a barrel of oil if you want something meaningful.

No, I believe in Bitcoin mass adoption, so I rather have it at BTC.

That doesn't in any way make it not stupid. You're fixing it to something that rapidly changes in value. You think you'll have a job when bitcoin goes from $400 to $600 in two weeks, if you're getting paid a fixed number of bitcoins? Bitcoin must experience MASSIVE deflation before there is enough value for the mass adoption that both you and I want. That is by design. To fix your wage to bitcoin would be ignorant of bitcoin's design. Just as fixing your wage to fiat is ignorant of fiat's design.

I think this matter would be up to the employer, not the employee...

Employment is an agreement between two parties.

Well, of course it will need to stabilize, but we aren't there yet. That's why I'm stashing up coins.
Your opinion is your opinion. Mine is mine. Please don't criticize other for their own opinions.
