Title: How many of you gpu mine AND Cpu mine.
Post by: Glizlack on May 31, 2014, 04:41:30 AM
Just wondering about cpu and gpu mining at same time on my rigs.  I haven't really tried it yet because cpu coins seemed like an added complication for little gain. Now i realise even a little gain adds up :)

Please share your knowledge both good and bad on the subject.

Thanks

Steve

it seems a waste of electricity, cpu won't add anything, unless you are instamining some coin that are cpu-only at launch

Normally I would agree but with MRo being new and somewhat hot I reconsidered the idea :)

I'm using GPU on a multipool, USB asics,  and CPU on other alt coin pools. CPU & asics mainly only works for new coins though.

CPU mining is almost useless because the coins which can be mined in this way are leaded by botnets with 10.000+ computers.
