Hello everyone! I'm back and ready to update the spreadsheet based on the new information I received when I was gone.

Thanks for all the compliments! Reading them is getting me excited and ready to get back to sloggin' away. :)

As for the date and time of launch, we the dev team are discussing it in our Skype group but we haven't reached a final decision yet. Yes, I will let everyone know about the launch when it's settled ;)

Unless you have a PM from me or see a mistake in the distro list, you don't need to do anything (more.) MaWo is setting up an automated script for the distribution.

tl;dr: If you're satisfied with your distro details, you need only wait.

As you can see in the thread, it's not only rolling but its volunteers have been really helpful in pointing out issues that would have led to a messy launch. Including issues that more hasty dev teams would have put on the post-launch back burner, like an appealing UX.

one question though, ive noticed several people who are in different investment categories but NOT in the free category. how is this possible? do you think you could add the free coins in for those people affected?

Thanks for the question. Those people either didn't qualify (too few posts and didn't pay the 0.015 fee) or simply forgot to apply. I'm afraid I have to stick with the distribution as set...but if someone PMs me with evidence that they did apply for the giveaway but was forgotten, I'll add them.

Not quite yet, but I am in the midst of preparing a "Last Call" for every stakeholder to check his or her records before setting the distribution list as final, and the distribution time and day as definite.

I heard a 3 to 5 day estimate about 4 days ago.

Yep, close. Luckily, NFD went through an unplanned "stress test" in which the nodes started forking because of a port clash with another new Nxt clone. MaWo had to spend some time making the client more resistant. This issue is one that normally bedevils a coin after it's distributed; this time, because we were lucky, we caught it early.

So there's a new client:


and a harder coin!

Just installed latest client and checked account.
Account and hash correct on both lists.

There are some reference errors in the totals sheet.

For Acszdf, the category 1 reference cell is wrong. There are many more e.gs.

Oh, you spotted that! Props for being thorough.

You're right, and let me explain why. I don't have the programming skills to whip up a script that would have dished out the correct references quickly. So, the references you see in the list book - both correct and incorrect - were put there by me by hand.

I actually rushed the first version of the distro list by putting in raw numbers in the Rich List instead of references. That decision actually cost me a full day during revision week, because I had to put in the references and check them.

With that done, I turned to the Totals sheets - and realized that, given my lack of programming skills fit for an .xlsx file, I would be a lot longer making sure that the references to Category 1 were accurate in terms of cell numbers.

So I punted again, on the grounds that the values would be the same no matter what. The references would be inaccurate, but the numbers themselves wouldn't be. All because I didn't have the programming skills to whip up a script that would ensure both kinds of accuracy.

Your criticism is accurate. Had the distro list been my "Independent Project" for an Excel course, I would have been down-marked for precisely that reason. And for one other: if you look in Category 1, you'll see that the values of each stake are all raw numbers. The others are references, and the Category 1 numbers should be too.

But I had to make a call given my limits, so that's why the book ended up the way it ended up.
