Title: Basic Math Question Post by: bluefirecorp on June 01, 2014, 01:06:09 PM Due to someone asking for math homework, I was shocked at the amount of incorrect answers.
I'm curious here how 'skilled' at basic math a lot of people are here. Please don't share answers in the posts below, I'm actually trying to see how 'smart' some people think they are. Find the right 'x'. x= z*y+v z = sqrt(845+0.121)*33) y = 2*sqrt [( sqrt(9768/1) * 4/sqrt(9768/1) )] v = 2560 The answer will make you feel much better :) Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: roslinpl on June 01, 2014, 02:17:12 PM Nobody got it wrong, LOL! If it was 352, then you would be right. Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: roslinpl on June 01, 2014, 02:28:53 PM http://lmgtfy.com/?q=(a%2Bb)%5E2 If it was 352, then you would be right. P.S. 1089+2*33*2+4 = 1225 :) Please :) Count it again and tell me is the right answer was 2463? :) Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: Parazyd on June 01, 2014, 02:30:32 PM Crap :)
The school system has destroyed my brain. I'm handicapped without a calculator. Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: 3btc on June 01, 2014, 02:37:57 PM That reminds me of another one, just as "easy" but sort of complicated in length (was 6th grade during some fun lesson by math teacher).
Replace every letter by a cipher so it becomes valid: SEND +MORE ______ MONEY ;) ??? ;D Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: Cryptopher on June 01, 2014, 02:40:45 PM I'm one of the correct ones :D It wasn't hard though, to be fair.
Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: BawsyBoss on June 01, 2014, 02:45:36 PM Because it's a binome (dunno the English word for it). You only have to use the binomial formula when there is a variable in it. Sure, it also works with numbers, but it is unnecessary work. The answer is 2463.(a+b)2=a2+2*a*b+b2 Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: eid on June 02, 2014, 09:30:11 AM Neat, looks like 1 person missed it. I wonder who it was. Come on -- come out and admit it. :P I was the second person to get it wrong. I used to be very good at maths but I honestly have no idea how to do this, even after seeing the correct answer. Use it or lose it I guess :/ Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: Acidyo on June 02, 2014, 11:26:23 AM (100%) everyone is smart :D Looks like it's not so any more. :D Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: fsb4000 on June 02, 2014, 01:53:14 PM (100%) everyone is smart :D Looks like it's not so any more. :D Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: bluefirecorp on June 06, 2014, 02:44:53 AM Three people actually missed this question. Wow. I have a feeling a scammer could make a fool of at least 3 people here ;)
Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: blumangroup on June 06, 2014, 08:46:37 AM The correct answer is "15"
Now if someone can please explain to me how to calculate the hash of the next block in my head. Title: Re: Basic Math Question Post by: alwinlinzee on August 22, 2014, 11:34:10 AM I gave it shot and arrived at 15 to be the right answer though i am the perfect mathematician.
