Title: What is getting carried over to the new Bitcoin forum?
Post by: Baitty on June 01, 2014, 04:29:03 PM
What things are going to get carried over to the new Bitcoin forum?

1) Banned accounts remain banned?
2) Trust be carried over?
3) Report percentage be carried over?
4) login time?
5) posts carried over?

I can't find any of this information and I think it would be a huge disappointment if everyone was set back.

I imagine all of this stuff would be carried over, but I guess clarification is needed.

Also what about activity and membergroups? Will they still be the same?

I was thinking all of this should be carried over minus report percentage thats not important but banned accounts, trust, posts and login time is very important.

I wouldn't like to lose my reports and I think it holds weight for the individual user, though if everybody is reset to zero I suppose it doesn't matter too much. I'd like to keep it though.

I guess someone like you who have probably reported much wouldn't want to lose it but I have only reported 1 I think.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not though.

Anyway... Everything will be transferred. Not sure about PMs though.

How do you know?
When will this "new forum" start?

I think it's a while away yet. Think they mentioned testing it within a few months but I don't think it'll go live or be in use until early next year. Probably nothing set in stone yet. People would only complain when/if they missed the deadlines.

Okay, that looks good.
And after I read that looks like PMs will remain too, since they said all data.

Login time is very important ?

I'd say reported percentage gives an idea of who the better reporter is and more so , it incentivises reporting , even with just a number , it is pretty effective.

On the other hand , login time does nothing except provides another stat for people to spam on the off-topic subforums

Good reasons but we see a lot of people boasting about login time and some people take peopels opinions wit ha pinch of salt if they have been a long term active member of the forum.
