Yes, it will definitely happen again. Probably within the next year or so. I don't think people are ready yet to psychologically accept that 1 BTC is worth more than 1oz of gold.. Gold is a great store of value, but sucks as a transactional medium in a modern economy. You'll be challenged to find anyone who will accept it for goods and services around town, let alone on the internet. Bitcoin has both the "store of value" aspect as well as being able to act as good 21st century money, so it's only natural that it will be worth more. Bubbles obviously do happen in bit coin but it isn't quite the same.
