Hi guys,

My customer have a problem wallet, so long to sync : she have core BTC wallet and the BTC are incoming in it.

What the solution to receive the BTC faster?

I told her to copy and move copy "wallet.dat"  in  the folder with multibit.wallet , but looks like doesnt works.

Thanks,

make sure to have "active connection" as described in uTorrent, and increase the number of nodes in bitcoin.conf.

Importing (! not just copy pasta the wallet.dat somewhere and hope it works...) in a slim wallet is the right way to speed this up. Why does this not work?

I thought direct import of the wallet.dat is only possible on blockchain.info? But of course you will want to think twice before doing that...

It sounds to me like the blockchain is not fully synced with Bitcoin Core. There's not much else to do and wait. Unless you want to start exporting private keys or move the wallet.dat to a Bitcoin Core installation that is fully synced.

To get peace of mind that the coins "are there" you always can check the address at any of these sites:

Use dumpprivkey btcaddress to export your private key, then import into Electrum. It's far better, since it is lightweight, meaning you don't have to download blocks.

You can download the bootstrap.dat file, which will speed up the process immensely.

As another post mentioned. Download the bootstrap.dat from bitcoin.org https://bitcoin.org/en/download (https://bitcoin.org/en/download) or directly here https://bitcoin.org/bin/blockchain/bootstrap.dat.torrent (https://bitcoin.org/bin/blockchain/bootstrap.dat.torrent). Use a bittorrent application to download it then move the blockchain data to your data directory.

Also be sure to have multiple backups of wallet.dat just in case. Losing a wallet is never a good thing

Solution 1: Import the wallet.dat to your blockchain.info wallet.
Solution 2: Export the private keys for ALL addresses having positive balance, and import the keys in a multibit wallet.

connecting to a single fast node is faster than downloading bootstrap, unless you have an incredibly slow internet connection (and a really fast computer), where the compression of the bootstrap file would be advantageous

How can i do something like that? Can you post it publicly to understand how this is going to help? Thanks!

Hello,

Why don't is this working in that way. I think let her check he connection with the server and account as well, you can also review her account.

Thanks !!
