Title: What's up with blockchain.info?
Post by: a1binos on June 04, 2014, 07:53:50 AM
It doesn't show any new transactions. blockr.io meanwhile working correctly.
The last block in blockchain.info is more than 4 hours ago!

Also, I checked twitter - there is nothing about it on their official page.

The site is down (probably under DDoS). But there is nothing to worry. The coins will be safe and the wallets will not be breached. You can check the wallet balances using other services as well.

Oh, I dont worry about my wallet - 0.4BTC is not enough ;) for worry about it.
But, the bitcoin price fallen - maybe because of this?

You're ok with throwing away 0.4? Do you have a backup of your wallet? If not you should have.

Just have to re-download the whole FREAKING blockchain again...  I think this full node is getting shut down.  So tired of this crap.

The exchange rate will remain volatile... and it has nothing to do with the DDoS attack on Blockchain.info. Just checked the BTC-E exchange trade logs and found that a massive dump of more than 5,000 coins had caused the exchange rates to crash from $660 to $614. Recovered quite a bit now.

Block chain seems to work fine for me right now but recently I had a problem with transaction confirmations. I received about $60 worth of bitcoins and It took me over 24 hours to get at least 1 confirmation , at least blockchain showed that but If I looked up at the blockr.io It showed that It already had many confirmation so It actually had confirmation but blockchain for some reason didn't showed them. That's the only "problem" I had with them so far.

I've actually just opened a wallet at blockchain because it seems to me to be one of the safest online wallets out there.  I've had a private wallet on my computer but wanted one online for convenience too.

Blockchain.info sometimes lags or doesn't show the correct amount of confirmations. If you check another block explorer you'll sometimes see that they've got more confirmations or even been fully confirmed.
