5, Overview of balances. Very important function. Here, admin can see how many coins of specific coin /example btc/ is held on balances, on pending trades, pending withdrawals and total amount of coins.
If total = exchange wallet balance that is good and there are no coins missing :)

6, Transfers window, where every buy, sell every deposit and withdrawal is logged. Admin can track everything and see details. (which user did trade, users email) every trade has unique ID

Lot of funcions are editable in code. We had lot of attacks and all of known bugs were fixed. Deposits are fully automated, withdrawals are handeld manually due security reasons. All pending withdrawals have been processed.

There may be created advertisemetn text or banner at every market.

Trading fees may be changed everytime to desired level.

Daily interest at MN1/BTC market is changeable. It is credited to users account once a day.

Why is crycurex for sale ?

I was contemplating a bid when I saw the thread title. Then I read the contents and ... well lets just say my alarm bell rang off the mantelpiece.

You still did not mention any negatives of anonymous bidding

If there will be someone who will be very interested in buy and offer me some reasonable price which may be very close to my desired selling price, I may think about selling.

We had several DDOS attacks and several attempts to access our admin area and database but none of them was successful. IF you want to test system, simply ask some hacker to hack it ... maybe you find some security hole ;)

There were some bugs, but none of them were critical. All of known bugs were fixed.

PHP? What version? What coin processing backends? What database? How clean and documented is the codebase?

Why are you moving the auction end so often? First 2 Jul 2014, now 26 Jun 2014?

If hosting is ending on June 26th, maybe you should end the auction on 23rd, to give the winner ample time if they want to migrate the hosting account.

There are still 72 hours to end if you wanna end it by 23.

 

Any potential bidders can check website until its online and I will migrate website as soon as auction ends. Dont want to change end of auction time again ...

Then this becomes sale of the script only.

Where is the site's privacy policy, and where does it allow transfer of customer data in case of an acquisition/sale/auction?

There is no link for privacy policy.

More importantly - under your countries law, have you got the consent of each of your registered users to transfer their information outside of your country?

I sell the exchange due lack of time. I spent more than 15 hours a day in dec 2013 - Feb 2014 to keep the exchange alive, unfortunately number of exchanges rose from 3 (dec 2013) to maybe 25 (march 2014 - until now)

And I was not lucky enough, skilled enough, to be top or one of the tops.

There was cryptorush.in scam, where devianttwo (owner) took around 1000 btc from clients, so reputation of all small exchanges was dramatically decreassed :(

To answer your question:
There are no known security issues. Script is unique and build from basics.

If you want to run your own exchange you have to spend 10+ hours a day in front of pc, you have to have unique ideas and must differ from others, you have to take customers from current established exchanges (mintpal, cryptsy) to suceed ;)

There is chance that winner of auction wont buy the exchange.

Reason:
He didnt realize that every new coin and its wallet, auto wallet address generating for clients /deamon/, and auto deposits for coin has to be coded as separate application. That means additional costs 20-50 usd for each coin (depends on how many usd per hour charge programmer of application)

Therefore there is chance that autcion will resume.

What are the monthly costs of running an exchange like this vs one of the bigger exchanges like poloniex?

VPS = $30/month maybe? If you're doing it on the cheap.

Not much more than that I'd say.

Bigger exchanges = bigger servers.

Depends on number of wallets (coins) you support, how opimized is your script etc...


If you have 1-3 coins your monthly hosing will be 60 usd+ for sure, https certificate (yearly payment), domain (like 10 usd year)

10+ coins ... I would say 100usd+ for hosting

If you are very big exchange, you should have 2 or more separate servers for security reasons and help you be online if 1 of them is down = additional costs ...

Running exchange is not as easy as lot of poor bitcointalk.org haters think ;)
