Share Difficulty

You can set the level of difficulty sent to your miner by appending a difficulty setting to your wallet address.
Recommended Share difficulty:

Hash Rate (KHash/s) Difficulty
100 +0.00011641
250 +0.00029103
500 +0.00058207
750 +0.00087310
1000 +0.00116414
10000 +0.0116414
50000 +0.058207

Just extend your YourWalletAddress like YourWalletAddress+0.00029103

For example if you have a hashrate of 250kh/s you would use:

cgminer --scrypt -o     stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:5758 -u YourWalletAddress -p password

In case of higher DOA decrease the hash rate value 1-5% depending on your stats and connectivity to the pool.

Hello,

I'm having issues connecting to the SMC pool at e-pool.net.

Using the following line,

Code:
sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://smc.e-pool.net:8960 -u address -p password

I get this message in the debug log:
Code:
smc.e-pool.net JSON stratum auth failed: {
   "message": "Service not found",
   "code": -32601,
   "data": null
}

I tried mining Catcoin with cgminer / scrypt and it was working.

This is what i use myself to mine there:

Ah, I missed the "--algorithm x11" part. Still getting the same error though. From sgminer console:

Code:
Most likely you have input the wrong URL, forgotten to add a port, or have not set up workers
...
No servers were found that could be used to get work from.

you are sure that you have set the nameservers (DNS) ?

if not use direct ip connection:

Code:

sgminer --algorithm x11 -o stratum+tcp://77.249.199.235:8960 -u address -p password --queue 0 --scan-time 2

if not use direct ip connection:

No luck with that either. The username is the wallet address and the password is the rpcpassword from the conf file, right?

Strange, Catcoin mining works through e-pool, as I mentioned previously, and I can do SmartCoin solo mining locally using sgminer.

Well, no worries, it's not a big deal.

Your pool is different from what I've tried before. Just have some questions: How do I withdraw my mined coins? Is it automatic? and how long do I have to wait?  ???

the pool works you need to use as username the wallet address and as password anything you want but not empty

for cgminer :

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:8970 -u YourWalletAddress -p password --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --intensity=10

for sgminer:

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:8970 -u YourWalletAddress -p password --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --intensity=10

for bfgminer:

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:8970 -u YourWalletAddress -p password --intensity=10

intensity you will adapt for your ring.

The p2pool system payment is automatic every time a block is found.

You can read more about p2pool system here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool

i just ask why you do not read more about p2pool system and after trying to judge.

what you show there is estimation of payment if the block is found in that moment, till the pool is not finding block no payment.

If you would like us to host your coin please send us a e-mail at info@e-pool.net or a private message on this forum with the request, all data of the coin and the link to the source of wallet.

  • 0.05 BTC (per month) for a 0% fee
  • 0.05 BTC (per month) We can also setup the fee to point to your address.
  • Pools can be created for free but I will decide on the fee charged to miners.
  • Suggest other coins for which you cannot find a pool or the commission is large - i'll create it. I have a commission as usual - 1%.

Dear all, we are planing full migration of the pools to new servers.

The work is in progress, and when we open, we will begin adding extra functionality to the existing pools, but also new pools.
The server software and the hardware has been optimized for maximum security and performance.

We're setting up pools for other coins, with other algorithms also, so just tell us what you think we need to add there.

Payments are automatically when new block is found, and the amount is calculated base on number of shares

Hi,

It seems there are more yescrypt P2Pool networks running on different ports.
I thought the strength was to join the networks.
Info on the other network is here: http://p2pool.unitus.online/home

I also do not understand why you have myriad(yescrypt) and unitus (yescrypt) running independent.
Unitus can be merged mined with myriad, increasing your Unitus hashrate.

The p2pool software itself can not make automatic payments for auxiliary coins that's way for the moment we run them separate

Ok, that seems to be a lacking from the p2pool software.
I guess the password field could be used for the merged mining address, its just distribution that needs to be coded.
But what about merging the myriad p2pool networks?

We don't merge mining any coins yet, we did try to change some coding on p2pool to support payment for merging coins but we didn't finish yet. Hope to have solutions soon.

I am mining MUE and for some reason my address keeps showing "no shares yet" and then I don't get paid for many blocks.  When I first started mining it was doing that but then it changed to an estimated payout and then I was paid for 10 or 15 blocks, but now it is back to "no shares yet" and no payouts for the last 10 blocks or so.  I can see the miner is submitting shares that are being accepted.  Can anyone explain this behavior?

EDIT: Actually I was paid for 30 blocks in a row before payouts stopped.  Now I count 12 blocks that the pool has found without paying me anything.

EDIT2: So I went 22 blocks without a payout.  I am referring to 22 blocks found by the pool for which I received nothing despite having been mining here the whole time.  I restarted my miner about 10 minutes ago and after some time my estimated changed from "no shares yet" to a number and I received another payout.

Right now on the pool are ~50GH mining power... be patient with the shares as are depending on the power you are mining

Thanks for responding but I don't understand why I would be paid for a bunch of pool blocks in a row and then suddenly not paid for a bunch of pool blocks in a row.  I am clear with the concept of being paid according to my contribution but my contribution was more than nothing for all the blocks where I was not paid.  At 50Gh my contribution would be about 0.6% of the pool.

Thank you! I think I have a better picture.  So there are other p2pool nodes for MUE then I take it?  And what is the share time on the side chain for MUE?  Is it still 30 seconds?

So when e-pool page says "no shares yet" is it referring to a share with a high enough difficulty to be included in the p2pool side chain?

1) pool settings are at 10sec
2) when a share it is high enough difficulty it;s included in the chain

Really trying, and I can intermittently access the stats page with the IP address, but it is not hashing.  I am trying the sha256 one. Is 5955 not correct for sha256?

Okay I see it now.  I got confused since Jaxx displays coinmine and suprnova transactions, but not epool for some reason. Anyway, the numbers in the browser and in Jaxx match, so the payouts are being received.

Thanks!

i don;t know about other pools, ours is p2pool base and payments are done  automatic when new block is found by the pool (and we do not have a minimal amount)

Hello, my question about p2pool.e-pool.net
I see very bad network connection, maybe you could solve it... Because i'm losing a lot of shares during mining, about 50%...
I tried to do ping from several hosts: from Czech, Slovakia, Russia. And i always have about 50% loss.

Hi Admin,

On your web info, you said that the BTC reward is by PPLNS method, and payout is after each block and usually needs minimum of 24 hrs to compare payouts. I have not seen payout to my BTC wallet address on blockchain.info. Do you have a minimum BTC threshold before automatic payout? Is an online BTC wallet from blockchain.info valid for e-pool?  I as well looked at other wallet addresses on the node and it appears that none of them have received any payouts. Please kindly let me know the situation with the node and payouts. When will I see the rewards in my wallet?

you will be paid when pool will find a block not when new block is found by network.... also the payment is direct on new generate block so the pool do not have a wallet as is not needed to handle the payments. info about p2pool can be found here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool

Thank you Admin for the helpful wiki link.

On the 'status table' on your page I can see 'Expected time to block (pool):' which is in seconds. Is this perhaps what you refer to as the time for the pool to find new block? Can you help to update the information on 'Recent Blocks' at the bottom of the page http://p2pool.e-pool.net:5950/static/

"Expected time to block" for BTC, BCH or any coins for High Diff is not working correctly anymore as is hard to calculate correctly

I found the block stats including "Expected time to block" and other activities here: http://p2pool.org/stats/  I would suggest linking up the BTC e-pool stat if possible. I found many important and helpful clarifications here: http://p2pool.org/learn/

Thanks for the e-pool.
