I am 99% certain I did this, and did not have t compile. have you looked on bitcoin.org ? and I dont just mean 'apt-get install bitcoin' you should just be able to download tar, untip and ./bitcoin-qt but yeah exactly what the problem is would help. If that's the case then I had the same issue when I did it some time back, add a firewall rules for port 8333 (TCP). Also remember to enable the firewall NOT to ask for user confirmation...unless you plan to sit on the computer 24/7 :P |
