This is one of the biggest failings of this forums.
They try to give users as much freedom of posting and have minimal regulatory rules on this kind of stuff.
First with Ponzis , now with this. Even though all of the replies are people saying why this is a bad idea , it still pushes this to the top.

We really need a way to reduce visibility of posts that are put down by everyone , instead of pushing it higher.

It sucks we probably won't have something like this until the new forum software :/

The main point was people would spend all their time trying to get attention and likes instead of being constructive(facebook). The other thing was that it would make a mob mentality where everyone would automatically upvote the top posts(reddit).
