I suggest ANXPRO (http://bit.ly/anxprobyt). We are based in Hong Kong, we have direct Hong Kong and Australian Banking, and also SEPA deposits and withdrawals. Our fees are as low as 0.05%, and no verification is needed for trading.

BTC-E is aright unless you have to deal with support. They have a hard time understanding English queries and will respond stating they do not understand and that will be the end of it. They also lock your account from withdrawals if you change your password, which I did after accessing a public computer. So that was unexpected and something I did not enjoy as I move BTC around a lot.

If you're in the U.S., then use Coinbase.

whats best btc exchange to sell btc

It depends on different factors.
Where are you located? Do you mind doing ID verification? How do you want to get paid? etc.

I use bitstamp because it is trusted by thousands of people and the support is one of the best you can have (but slow).

Bitstamp it`s the best exchanger if you are living in Europe, they are the fastest and the most trustworthy. Coinbase is the best if you are living in USA, other countries can`t use Coinbase.

Use BTC-e and localbitcoins if you don't want to verify your identity.
Use Bitstamp otherwise.

Yes, you should tell us this. Different exchanges work better in different countries.

I have read in another thread that bitstamp works well for SEPA withdrawals. :)

Haha, bitstamp is currently freezing user's funds due to "KYC laws". They make you fill out a ridiculous questionnaire before they give you the funds.
Try ANXPRO (http://bit.ly/anxprobyt). We feature SEPA withdrawals and deposits, and our fees are also as low as 0.05%.

Do you mean as a trading platform? Or to withdraw fiat? I still think Bitstamp is probably best for withdrawing fiat (especially in Europe). But I prefer BTC-E for trading.

Most exchanges will not work with Paypal due to their chargeback policies. The one exception I have heard of is Virwox, but I have also heard they have very high fees and low limits (at least at first).

That is correct. If you need to buy/sell BTC  with PayPal, then you should use VirWox (they have huge fees) or you should find a reputable trader on the currency exchange section.
If you are asking about ANXPRO (http://bit.ly/anxprobyt), we don't support PayPal, however, we support EgoPay, which is similar, and you can send funds from EgoPay to Payza, another PayPal alternative.

It's not a new exchange, it's been around since July 2013, just that our marketing wasn't that good and not many people use it, but recently, we've been getting a massive influx of new users due to our unique features.
You're welcome to try out our exchange.

ANXPRO (http://bit.ly/anxprobyt)

What exactly do you mean by "unique features"?

One of our unique features on ANXPRO (http://bit.ly/anxprobyt) is the cross-fiat order book. For example,
Alice has 620 USD and wants to buy 1 BTC.
Bob has 1 BTC and wants to sell it for 458 EUR.

They both place their buy and sell orders. One is BTC/USD, and one is BTC/EUR.
On a normal exchange, nothing happens. However, on ANXPRO (http://bit.ly/anxprobyt), our state-of-the-art pairing system pairs these trades, and executes them, so that:
Alice receives 1 BTC.
Bob receives 458 EUR.

Note that Alice never had any EUR, but the system still converts the USD into EUR for this trade. No other exchange has this feature.

Apart from that, ANXPRO (http://bit.ly/anxprobyt) also has other features, such as:
  • 128-bit SSL encryption
  • Platform hosted on Tier 1 Data Centres
  • Fees as low as 0.05%
  • Money Transmitter Licence
  • EgoPay support
  • SEPA Deposits and Withdrawals

We'd love to invite you guys to try out our exchange, with all these features. We are based in Hong Kong. We are also the first Bitcoin exchange to open a brick and mortar Bitcoin trading physical store.

I think Bitstamp would be considered the "top" (western) exchange, although Bitfinex and BTC-E seem to be gaining ground, for sure. People seem turned off by Bitstamp's new KYC policies. Very invasive.

This is true for the most part (at least for western exchanges), but I think it is changing. It seems like Stamp is losing volume -- maybe traders are moving elsewhere. Also, in terms of trade engine and trading tools, Stamp is far behind BTC-E and Bitfinex.
