The North American Bitcoin Car Giveaway Tour 2014. (NABCGT)

Tour dates have been planned to cover most major Canadian and U.S.A cities, a booth at Chicago Bitcoin conference (NABC 2014), and some additional stops along the way.

cool, i think i'd take the car over the $10,000.. either way, you'd have to pay capital gains taxes, and the car is probably worth more than $10k.

Why don't you come to Europe to do this?

I want something like this on my continent! And please appreciate that I wasn't asking you to come to my country! I'm not that selfish! But it would be good if you could come here and do something like this :)

In all honesty I'd rather take the cash in Bitcoin than deal with the hassle of a car with insurance, bills, ect.

I would take the BTC as well. It doesn't depreciate as soon as you start the engine.

some what unrelated lol but a coworker one a porsche a number of years back. he couldnt even afford the insurance on it ($4-5k a year) it was funny and sad at the same time :(

Holy fucking shit! This is like the first Bitcoin event to come to my town! I love you guys so hard right now. Pretty sure it's a college day, though.  ::)
(Lucky bastards in my University city are going to be free on that day. Never decide to shadow at another college. Not worth it if Bitcoins are later involved.)

this is kind of funny.. i remember 10-50 BTC giveaways a long time ago. those giveaways were more valuable than what this prize is for, and this is a bigger deal.

it seems like one of those fuel efficient cars, so it'll hold its value just fine. you could always re-paint the car if you don't like the way it looks.

I'd prefer the bitcoins personally.  Do I get to choose which if I win?  San Jose is only about an hour away from where I live, I'd be up for making the trip for a chance at winning this.

Any car starts depreciating as soon as it rolls off the lot. With the bit coin you might be able to buy a fleet of those in 5 years.

Sweet! Gonna have to try and make it down for this.  If I won I'd definitely take the car. Even with depreciation and other factors the cars worth more than $10,000 Canadian. Even if that car was a 2012, it would still go for around $14,000 used right now.  Newer souls are going for $20,000+ used.  These cars are killer for keeping their value.



Would you rather take $10,000 worth of bitcoin or say $20,000 cash to sink into bitcoin?

If I can get it to coinbase fast enough give me 20k. If we are in a rally I would take the 10 k worth because the jump will be rapid to say the least.

It's definitely a decision with many factors. Lots of time between here and December for things to change. Personally, I only said car because I figure it would be worth more in cash that I could flip over to more bitcoin.  I don't think I could sleep at night driving that car.  I hate the look of them.   :D

At first I thought this was fake, but now I see a Bitcoin Car for the win , so I'm going to win. It's gotta be real, based on fact.

Also wonder what 10,000 dollars in Bitcoins will be when the draw date comes around also how much the resale value of a well traveled bitcoin car is and how much I can get for it in the Auctions thread if I won  ;D
