Quite difficult to believe that something similar could be achieved. Even the Google Translate is not much error-free in translating the text documents. Anyway... waiting for more details.

It can't substitute completely human translaters but it can be useful in some contexts where speed is more important than precision.

I have been using google voice search on my android phone for years. I am extremely happy with the search results, voice recognition is spot on over 90% of the time. So, I am not that surprised with the demo here. It is impressive, but not unexpected.
