sudo iptables -L -n on a shell. It should look like: Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination If you see something else there is a host based firewall up and running.
