My guess is bitstamp did something to their APIs and bitcoincharts has not been adjusted yet. I hope it is sorted out soon as I really like bitcoincharts.
I agree that data from another exchange isn't much of a work around, the really nice thing about bitcoincharts is it shows the small disparities between the exchanges. Good Luck! Bitcoincharts.com only loads bitstampUSD up to June 6 for me. it happened to our exchange, LakeBTC.com, a few times before. the first incidence was caused by a data issue on our side, while the others disappeared automatically after a couple of days. And I do think the problem is on Stamp's end. Cryptocurrencyanalytics.com's customers lost money recently because Stamp had some kind of reporting glitch. I'd be willing to bet it's related to this.
