Difficulty is currently 1 and will be such for a little while. There are 900M coins available, so even if you are a CPU/GPU and or ASIC miner the chance of stock piling now is a good way to potentially have a larger investment later. Yes, it is coingen, but I do have the source and things will be modified. I have some connections that I don't really want to talk about quite yet, but the potential could be great especially for early adopters.

So, blocks are stabilizing in terms of of transactions speeds... they're getting more 'normal' in speed.
We definitely could use more miners. We're sitting approximately at around 2 to 2.5 TH/s network total hashrate (estimate) and we're on block ~18,500. Our upcoming TODO list is the following: Finish website design Forums / Chat Blockchain Explorer Beautify / Redesign Windows Wallet Android Wallet Mac OS Wallet Listings on Cryptsy, Bter, MintPal Be traded on CEX We are looking for interested candidates to join our team. If you have any experience in any of the following, please email me at Adaryian@eCurrency.io with a resume or CV with contact information. Current positions to be filled: Web Design Team (1 to 2 people) Programmers (~3-5 people) Marketing & PR (At least 5 people) Other key roles not listed above, but will be listed on our website along with OP are any server operators or server administrators who have access to at least a multi-core processor of at least 2GHz + and at least 2GB memory, 100GB+ HDD, 100Mbps+ network connection and at least 2-3 (Minimum) TB/monthly bandwidth allocation. These will play vital roles in the stability of our network as being seed nodes for E-Currency. You can run a pool on these nodes as well if you wish, but if not that is fine as well, granted it is running as a server and will run the wallet daemon with a high percentile uptime. Changes to what the coin was supposed to be and what it actually is are different. There isn't the amount of coin supply as I was understood there to be. I have updated this information on the OP. With that being said, it's not bad news.. just makes it worth that much more since the coins availability is not that of which it was intended to be.

Not sure to be completely honest. It will rise with difficulty along with various things we'll be coming out with in the near future. Our website is in maintenance mode, due to the fact that we're upgrading it and designing it. We expected that we would be successful with this currency. We just didn't plan on a community of people already this soon in adopting it! (Which is incredibly fantastic!) Being that the next difficulty is 1 million versus the current 262k, it's going to be harder to get and that will drive the price up alone. Also, there is a makefile for OSX on GitHub. I've had a few emails and message in regards to if there is a wallet for Mac and yes, there is within the /src folder. You'll have to compile it within a terminal, unless someone wants to compile it and offer it up for a download. If it's a trusted source we can put it in a mirror download. We'll be finishing the website this week. Things got sidetracked over the weekend. We do have our blockchain explorer working now, so you can go through all transactions and addresses online, similar to Blockchain.info We nearly saw 1000 Satoshi over the weekend we did reach quite a high, but seem to be evening out at around the mid 350's. We'll soon be working on getting an Android App out for you all. Once the website has officially launched, we're going to try to get on Bittrex again along with Mintpal and of course, Cryptsy. We're doing well on Kingcoiny, just not a lot of volume for what we'd expect on a larger exchange. We're about to break into the 1 million difficulty level soon, and we wanted more people to be onboard by this time. We've set aside a lot of the currency from mining for development of the currency along with donations. We have funded the faucet now since launch and will continue to do so as demand requires. We have a lot of plans with this currency and would like to start implementing it once some groundwork has been finished. We're reaching out to some other exchanges as well to make it more diversified for trading purposes. Once there seems to be some solid base rates and it showing volume movement, we'll be able to get in contact with a few businesses who are interested in having an E-Currency. We're working towards getting the Android Wallet released ASAP, so it will become a feasible option to pay with it on the go. We have plans to launch a POS so that merchants can get this service and have it automatically trade into USD. There are a lot of ideas and plans for this currency, but again, we need to lay the foundation down for the currency first and foremost to make sure that there is a solid foundation and plenty of miners and traders to keep the currency afloat. For being the age of what E-Currency is and how much we have accomplished since then, I'm very excited to see what we're capable of. I do want this to be successful for everyone involved and to see it move into a mainstream use as soon as possible. The price will follow as more is done to show we're working and working hard to get our name out there along with proving that we can get businesses onboard. We're still laying the groundwork and getting the foundation of the currency in place. Once we have everything ironed out to where, if I took this to a business for legitimate use, they will have confidence in it and that betters our chance and our shareholders as I see it (the miners/investors/day-traders, who will keep the currency alive, healthy and active) to implement this into their business model. I believe in being an active figure in this, as it's important to make sure everyone knows that this is an idea. A passion. This isn't a pump & dump, this is a goal that I'm set out to achieve. This will happen but all in good time. The transaction times are faster which is a bonus in itself.. it's an SHA256 so current ASIC's can make use of it. The coin was developed with the intention to make it a little easier on the public eyes in terms of relating a crypto-currency to an "E-Currency". I'm in talks with various businesses as of this moment that is extremely beneficial to not only E-Currency but also the businesses themselves. I don't want to say anything yet as nothing is actually set it stone at this current moment, however things are looking quite promising and if this turns out the way it's planned; we'll should see a dramatic increase in interest in ISO. These services offered by these companies could possibly generate a few hundred dollars USD in the first month or maybe close to 1k USD. As the word travels, along another niche community such at Bitcointalk.org, this community will probably adopt this currency if it holds place and the services offered by this community will more than likely open arms to the currency and we could be looking at 5-10k USD monthly if not more. I'm having the most difficult time with them, because they're not allowing me to connect to them via a browser or SSH, yet the remain mining Bitcoin for me, but I can't change any settings. I've hard reset them as well.. I'm sure I'll get something figured out in the next day or two because I'll have more time to mess with them. It should be forked and I'm not going to beat around the bush.. we all know it was made by Coingen, it's a product of flaws so if someone can fork it, update it, we would welcome it granted it's in the common interest of everyone. I've been searching out businesses to accept ISO and have found some who are. So, I'm currently negotiating with them in details of how to more or less get them on board to actively take ISO and for them to in turn be a merchant who can accept this within reasonable conditions. So my hands are full currently working with these companies who need understanding and implementing ISO into their payment systems so that they can start accepting it. Since, it's not set in stone and 100% yet, I'm reluctant to say anything as of yet, as we're still in very early stages of everything. I've found a 4-5 blocks but they all get rejected. I have 5+ connections in my wallet and since a block hasn't been mined in quite awhile, I assume I'm the only one mining so I'm really clueless as to why I'd get rejects. I even set cgminer to log my shares and tried submitting manually using submitblock in the console but it says rejected as well. Also tried setting up a p2pnode but it keeps saying my rcp port is wrong and all the other p2p nodes seem to be down. I've had no problem getting tekcoin and bitcoin p2p set up on my computer but this has so far evaded me. I was hoping if I could point my hash at a p2p node I might get better results.

Contacted some 3rd party block explorer hosts to see about pricing. Hopefully blockchain will be up and running soon. I know for a fact I had some ISO to burn to use for expenses but Kingcoiny closed down and never sent any of my ISO back, so basically 1/4 of a million ISO is gone for good, which in turn is a good thing for the coin itself as it makes them more valuable now. They may open the market back up if there is a strong enough interest to do so. So that might free up some potentially held ISO if they haven't deleted the wallet.dat information.) So it seems to be based on the mining amounts that currently, sitting roughly 18.5k~ ISO, I'm holding a good majority of the actual ACTIVE coins, unless someone could prove they have more. Which is fine, I'm just trying to get some clear information out there. One step closer to everything working again. I have to pay BlockExperts, and eventually once I'm able to.. You will need to update your clients before block number #32256. You will need to dumpprivkey to any and all addresses and importprivkey into the new client once it has been downloaded. (My suggestion is to start now, as miners will still have a trickling amount of ISO coming in.) All the pools should run the same, though P2Pool will need an update for the block spacing. I'll message rav3n_pl about that. On a nix box, you will need to stop the client. Remove the client, though you can still keep your ecurrency.conf file, but remove every other reminisce of E-Currency from your nix box, other than your backup wallet.dat of course. You'll need to visit our Github: https://github.com/Adaryian/E-Currency Clone the new E-Currency client and start it up. After it has started you can then importprivkey to your other addresses. ---- The reason for this, is because of the address change from it starting with a '1' to now an 'E' -- on top of that the block spacing is 3 minutes now versus the 10 minutes it was before. Windows users will be temporarily effected though no coins should be lost granted it's before the block #32256 as it'll still be apart of the blockchain until then meaning that once the new Windows client has been you'll follow the same steps more or less as linux. Though you'll have an interface you'll simply just go to the console and type in importprivkey [PrivkeyGoesHere] and it'll have the same effect. Again, you'll still need to follow the instructions the same as a nix box. You'll need to backup your wallet.dat and be sure that you have already dumpprivkey to all your account addresses before upgrading. (I'll still leave the old client available for the next few months for people who maybe coming back.) The only thing of E-Currency that should remain even on a Windows box is going to be your ecurrency.conf as that wouldn't need to be changed. Install/Run the new version of E-Currency, enjoy the new splash screen :P and then start importing those private keys and updating the pools you mine at with your new 'E' starting address! Feel free to add to this, if I perhaps have forgotten something.. or something needs to be edited as this is my first hard fork for a crypto-currency. So, by no means am I promising everything will go off without any issues. If you have issues, please respond into this thread so we can figure the solution out for you. I may not be able to answer it right away but the programmers will be able to possibly shed light on the subject. After upgrading the client I could not get it to sync past block 4031, no matter what I did. This applied to both the UNIX and Windows versions. But after a bit of trial and error I managed to get it to work and Sync completely. The result of this is that what you should not do, is remove the old blockchain info from the client folder. I'll list the steps that you should do. 1. Keep a copy of the older client in case you need to go back to it if everything fails to work (new client will not read the old wallet.dat right). 2. Make a proper backup of your wallet.dat and export your privkeys before closing the client down. 3. Backup your whole Ecurrency folder for safety (inc Blockchain info) 4. Install the new client 5. So there was a problem with the check points in the programming. We have someone who is going to fix it. The hard fork happens at block 32256. It will ignore all previous 10 minute blocks. New clients on nix and windows systems running the client will only get to block number 4 or 5k. There seems to be a separate "new" blockchain being made. We're working on fixing this hopefully today. Depends on what all needs to be fixed. Initially when I tested this everything seemed fine. But once more people connected and started mining the blockchain wouldn't download. So it looks like the change from the '1' to the 'E' changed the blockchain. Again, this was my first hard fork and I figured there was going to be some small issues however I didn't expect major issues. But we're working to resolve this. If the programmers want to chime in they can to explain more but all the changes are on Github so you can see what changes were made and why it had caused these problems. Will update asap. Adaryian has been taken ill. he has gone into hospital and should be back soon, nothing too serious so dont worry guys! He is slightly restricted in what he can do right now as he's only got access from his phone. He has asked me to inform you that the programmer didn't explain a lot of these things to him and that it would change the blockchain. He will revert things back to as far as he can and update based on what has been done so it can be fixed. I personally am no programmer, so if there is anyone out there willing to help on that side, it would be much appreciated. PM me or Adaryian, I will forward any help offers to Adaryian for access to the code repository. Please "DONT PANIC" :-) This issue will be resolved and everything will be back on track soon, and hopefully we will not see another fork anytime soon afterwards, unless your using one to eat. I pushed a change to a TEST repository (which you did not have yet) and YOU pulled them to your main branch without doing any tests of your own. My messages even state I was unsure how the main blockchain would react to the causes you were asking for. I was still doing my tests when you hurriedly pulled them to Main. When you came across any issues I pointed someone in this coins direction to view the source and to fix any mistakes I may have caused. While I may have caused an issue, I did not do so intentionally. It was on a TEST branch for a reason. And beyond that I was on Spring Break for this semester and thus was not as active as I would have hoped to be. I'm more than willing to return any ISO funds I've received - although I don't know how much that is (I haven't even loaded up the wallet besides the original time to get you an address where we agreed that any payment was optional, and can be found in this thread). Just a quick message to say that as we have had so many problems with the client etc in the process of getting it into the new block chain we are moveing on with a new incarnation of E-Currency. Adarian will post a final forum entry soon where he will lock this forum and open up a new Forum for the new E-Currency, which shall keep its name in the form of eCurrency and have the designation changed to ECC from ISO. Very briefly just to keep everybody informed, do not worry about your current ISO balancese, we are pre-mining the new incarnation of the coin so that we can do a proper coin swap, and unlike "other" coins we have noticed doing this, we are not reducing the amount, THIS WILL BE A 1:1 COIN SWAP.. So Get your old ISO together in one place and watch this space :-) To quickly recap: 1. E-Currency is changing to eCurrency 2. ISO designation will change to ECC 3. We'll be doing an exchange for your ISO to the new eCurrency as an equal exchange, from the pre-mine (Reason for pre-mine) 4.
