Title: Multiple wallets open at once
Post by: ChrisLandin on June 11, 2014, 09:03:28 AM
Hi.

Im running 8 open wallets and im seeing cpu usage at near enough 100% when they are all open and minting.

Is this correct or is there a setting you can turn down?

I remember in the old days of mining btc on 5850's you could turn down he cpu affinity is there a setting like this now??

Cheers

There is no setting you can turn down, I suggest only sticking to established coins (bitcoin, litecoin, peercoin)

This is not about mining! For every wallet you have open, you broadcast yourself on the network and share the blockchain with other people! So it takes a lot of cpu.

Take a look at other implementations to understand how they work , you know the lack of security proof wallet is just one of the biggest hurdles to more widespread  cryptocurrencies adoption.
