I swapped out the fan… I used 8 2tb hdds in it doing JBOD storage. It maxes at 2tb hdd's I ran mac os 10.7 and stored a lot of video on this. been sitting in a box but it works. So if you need a cheap way to store shit and have a lot of 2tb or smaller hdds this is a good deal ..
