Even with bittrex having downtime today it has passed the 2000 btc trade mark in 24 hours.

With the latest scandals around mintpal allowing coins to get on with bot votes and making dubious choices around coin choices to add that many suspect they have been thrown with btc
it's no surprise that a honest exchange like bittrex is starting to get more deserved volume.

Bittrex exchange obviously doesn't need to be bribed in order for a coin to be added as they have the infrastructure to add a lot of alts without exchanges like mintpal deciding what coins are good for you.

They are further promoting the creation of more shit coins because they will automatically get listed on the exchange thus providing incentive for the same group of shit people to re-clone shit coins under shit names with the same context. Open your eyes. Bittrex is no better than Mintpal, plus they are guilty of taking bounties dumping them before public can begin trading. Dont ride bittrex. Clown

ALL THE VOLUME IS FROM EITHER SCAM-COINS OR IPO COINS

The same thing is happening with Mintpal, infact the last 3-4 weeks only shitcoins have gotten listed from the voting.

Mycoin is next and that is another shitcoin.

At least with bittrex there is new coins that have potential that people can buy without having to make mintpal rich.

Bittrex is the shit coin haven. 2,000 btc(1.6million usd) per day is Bittrex's all time high.


Mintpal's all time high is about 10,000(6.3million usd) btc per day.


Bittrex is a shit, newbie, scam-haven, exchange.

Not to mention Bittrex got hacked If i remember right.

Well imo I think bittrex is great, it allows me to buy Guldencoin - NLG... which I feel is better then 90% of the coins listed on Mintpal, but I know it will never get onto Mintpal because
the team is too honest to use bot votes mentioned in the OPs post.

They already have 3 Subways and another Restaurant in Amsterdam accepting it,also over 10 websites accepting the coin and they even releasing something special tonight.

So yes bittrex does add shit coins but they do add great coins like NLG that will never get onto Mintpal because of the flawed system.

Guldencoin is a pretty crappy ass coin/clone...To be honest it has nothing special about it and is a shit coin..

Trust me when I say the btc blockchain has so much that can be worked with that we havent even touched the surface of it yet.

Bittrex also delists coins...something mintpal and cryptsy dont even bother to do anymore.

Sure bittrex adds any coin, I am ok with that. every coin deserves to get a chance. But if a coin sucks, it will show and bittrex is quick to give those coins the boot.

I personally like Bittrex and a lot of my volume is on that exchange. I haven't logged into mintpal in weeks and crypsty only gets my volume on coins that are not listed anywhere else with decent volume like HBN or PHS.

Bittrex is on track to becoming a number one exchange.

First of all, Mintpal does delist coins...It delisted Zeitcoin from the btc market to LTC market...Know what your talking about before you say things that arent true, thanks. Bittrex is a scam, shit exchange.

Moving a coin from one market to another is not a complete delisting.

whats the big deal with coins getting delisted? What does it accomplish, it only gets replaced by other shit coins to take there spot where another round of premine dump by developer, bittrex crew dump their coins to early "investors", eventually a little buy support forms, coin becomes a play toy for gambling, then it plummets because hype is on another shit coin. They have to delist coins because on average they put about 2- 3 shit coins A DAY, mintpal adds coins once or TWICE a week max, they dont have to worry about delisting coins on the scale of bittrex. All i am saying is lets not rate bittrex like an alternative to mintpal. There both equally shit exchanges with bad practices but hey who cares, there is money to be made right?

If Bittrex has a lock up for supposedly Bounty/giveaway only premine coins, then that would help so much with the scammers dumping their premined coins immediately upon listing and run away.

i think in the long run us-based exchanges will suffer a lot of restrictions from controlfreak murica. Uk seems more liberal.

Thanks for proving my point that Mintpal just adds coins based on which one is willing to spend the most to get listed whether they are shit or not.

Bittrex doesn't discriminate, it will add good and shit coins and the community decides which coin they want to back.

From what I can see Mintpal only adding shitcoins lately because of the above service. Take away DRK volumes and bittrex would be way ahead now.

Screw Mintpal bunch of thieves they are asking tens of thousands to place the most shitty coins.

Bittrex really went from being goto exchange for new up n comers to high volume n really good exchange imo.

Mintpal's voting thing is really annoying.  My 6th sense tells me Mintpal has a more solid infrastructure than Bittrex but this doesn't matter if I can't get into potentially hot new coins because they don't have enough Mintpal votes and/or haven't a community with enough money to buy the votes they need.  Yes, this means Bittrex is full of trash.  I had a little long term money in Badgercoin and Yamashita as nice pump and dump targets: both died and took my investment in them to the grave.  That was the risk I took getting in so early and I have other investments that are going (so far) very well in coins no where near the top of Mintpal's voting list.  The only thing I keep on Cryptsy these days is some Flappycoin (hey, who knows what the future will bring? LOL) 

as i said earlier,  a worthwhile exchange trades maximum 5-10 valuable coins  (see BTC-E).

I like and use both.

Why limit yourself. I use many exchanges. I buy and sell at the best prices. To do anything different imo is short-sighted  assuming of course they are safe and you practice safe online techniques such as 2fa. Not repeating passwords
