[Free Tickets] Post by: hilariousandco on June 13, 2014, 08:25:14 AM What time is the draw going to be exactly and how is the draw via random.org going to be verifiable? What's to stop you filming multiple times until you get a favourable result?
Title: Re: [Ticket Price: 0.01BTC] Bitcoin Raffle! Try your luck! [Free Tickets] Post by: Mitchell on June 13, 2014, 09:34:24 AM What time is the draw going to be exactly It's in the post: Quote End date is one week from now, 19-06-2014, at 20:00 (UTC+1) and how is the draw via random.org going to be verifiable? What's to stop you filming multiple times until you get a favourable result? I will put a clock next to my screen which will proof that no editing has been done. Or I use Twitch or something like that. Whatever people prefer. Title: Re: [Ticket Price: 0.01BTC] Bitcoin Raffle! Try your luck! [Free Tickets] Post by: hilariousandco on June 13, 2014, 09:45:10 AM That says end date not raffle is drawn at that time. Can people buy a ticket a few seconds before you're about to do the draw? There should probably be a cut off point for entries and a separate draw time shortly after. And a clock doesn't prove anything in this instance. It's not editing of the video that is a concern really. You could match the live draw time up with a official online clock of some sort I suppose.

I will clarify that, thank you for pointing out. I will just do a livestream of the event so people know for sure that I can't cheat and do it fairly. That should do, correct? EDIT: Is this better? It is my first raffle after all. :) Title: Re: [Ticket Price: 0.01BTC] Bitcoin Raffle! Try your luck! [Free Tickets] Post by: hilariousandco on June 13, 2014, 11:09:48 AM Yeah, looks much better now :D. I wasn't insinuating you would cheat it or anything, but I personally wouldn't be comfortable participating unless the draw was verifiably fair and couldn't be manipulated easily. Best to cover all your bases before as otherwise you're likeky to have a few sore losers complaining after as well ;D.

And I know you didn't mean something like that, but asking questions and covering all bases is a good thing, so thank you for helping out ;)Title: Re: [Ticket Price: 0.01BTC] Bitcoin Raffle! That is the only way to get free tickets ;DTitle: Re: [Ticket Price: 0.01BTC] Bitcoin Raffle! Try your luck! Why on earth you would want to put a referral down I have no idea. Surely that would lessen the probability of you winning, as they would be getting a free ticket. [Free Tickets] Post by: monbux on June 15, 2014, 03:05:17 PM Eh, nice raffle... but I doubt you'd get a lot of attention unless you decrease the ticket prices to 0.001 BTC or something like that, I'm sure that more people would participate (including me! :D)

Try your luck! [Free Tickets] Post by: hilariousandco on June 15, 2014, 04:33:17 PM I think you'd get more attention if there was a fixed price prize. A percentage of zero or not a lot is never appealing. Make it a fixed price and state you need x amount of ticket sales before the raffle is valid, if not, it's void and any money collected will be returned.

I don't like changing rules while the raffle itself is already in progress. Thanks for the tips!Title: Re: [Ticket Price: 0.01BTC] Bitcoin Raffle! Try your luck!
