Or there is no some backdoor to the system.

I am no expert, but I think the idea with Bitmessage is that the user does not need to rely upon centralised message services (like gmail, for example, who are known to scan our messages to deliver information to our corrupt governments). As to privacy concerns, best best best option is to ally the decentralised message service of Bitmessage with GPG, and you're very protected ;) Quote http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitmessage Bitmessage is a decentralized, encrypted, peer-to-peer, trustless communications protocol that can be used by one person to send encrypted messages to another person, or to multiple subscribers. Many of the people I know just don't see any point in using encryption for messaging and probably think of me as a paranoid nut (I may well be, but that's irrelevant) ;D I do think things are changing though as it's becoming increasingly obvious that online privacy without a little effort is a delusion.
