It's not a vampire thing, it's about the blood itself, it's color, texture and other properties. While I would love to get covered up in blood and have sex I'm perfectly normal, I don't find it a necessary part of it. I like it, but I'm not going to put myself or my partner in harms way, I'm not into pain (any of the BDSM stuff) just normal things maybe a little bit of flirty spanking and I really love it when a girl gives me a few hickeys, which is normal, playful love bites etc.

I don't have Renfield's syndrome as I do not have the compulsion to drink blood. It's different than that. I don't have an obsessive compulsive thought process about the whole thing. I like the texture and the feel of blood like other people like the texture, feel, and smell of countless other things.

Turning everything into a psychiatric disorder is some scary business. I don't know why people try to persecute others simply for not accepting what they are like.

What about drinking alcohol? Should that be considered a psych disorder? It's technically poison. What if being awake past 8 was illegal and anyone who stayed up was viewed upon as a freak and ostracized. I like to think we're past that.

As for people's preferences, they are what gender they are, there are people who like the same gender, the other gender, both genders and many other configurations, they are all normal

Like it or not, sex and blood are linked to a certain degree, in both literature and anatomy. There is a reason for that. Of course, when it comes to sex, each to his/her own. If someone likes inflatable
