Woah. Is it a special season going on? I could guess more businesses in the Summer will start to accept it... But jeez, at least 8-10 businesses have adopted Bitcoin.

Yet another well known company jumping on the bitcoin bandwagon. Definitely good to get the crypto name more known. I hope that the FBI auctioning of silkroad coins will even further bring whales into the market.

Good, good, with all problems btc had at very start of the year, this is song for tired ears. More businesses, more "visibility", more users.

8-10 businesses? what glue are you sniffing. i count over 100k businesses indirectly and atleast 30k directly.. so why is your research stuck in 2010??

problems with btc at start of the year?

this time last year bitcoin was under $300 (mening this year is better)
this time last year bitcoin was dealing with trendon shavers (this years karpeles event means no change good or bad)
this time last year IRS HMRC and other tax offices had not legitimsed bitcoin
this time last year american state officials could not touch bitcoin
this time last year large international businesses were not using bitcoin (overstock)

so has this year really been that bad compared to any previous year??

Oh, no, by that number I meant businesses that have recently started to. I guess it would be considered more of late Spring-Early Summer, big ones.

Probably inspired by the adoption of Bitcoins by Expedia.

Holiday Inn is present in a total of 3,414 locations, with almost 100 million bookings per year.  ;D

"plans to keep a percentage of its bitcoin income and convert the rest to dollars in order to cover its expenses. However, he did not say what this percentage would be."
After the expense, the company will keep bitcoin. More and more merchants decide to accept bitcoin and keep them. They treat bitcoin as valuable asset or currency.
