I remember those days when we got together at the guy who had a vhs videoplayer and watch the few movies we could get.

One funny thing is that if there was a power failure (those used to happen very often) everybody was scared that the "securitatea" might come to arrest us. There was a myth that they are doing so in order to block the tape inside the player to catch us in the act.

But there are rumors that the entire network was already controlled by the government and a few officials were making tons of money out of it.
A video player was half the price of a car at that time.


Also , one thing to note. There are a lot of jokes about her dubbing and most people agree that it was almost horrible , he had a squeaky voice.
