Post by: bcoins on June 16, 2014, 02:59:48 PM
Anyone can help.

I tried to install multibit in pen drive but see some flies also in my F drive (hard disk partition) so i unstalled multibit from contrlpanel. I use windows 7
after uninstalling it i see entire F drive of my hard disk is blank. All data loss.

The multibit version i used was multibit-0.5.17-windows-setup

Do anyone experience this? or how this happen?

Any help?

Are you saying that you lost coins or you just lost data from the application itself?

Use R-Studio to try and recover your data.

No coins. I store my coins online. I lost my data.

I just install mulitbit to check how it works and how can i store it offline.

Thank god i had not stored my btc offline.

But i need to restore my data that was important too

I think i need to search for any free data recovery software for it.

If you care about the data you lost, dont use free software. Hire someone. Data forensics software can be really bad and destroy your data entirely.

This is not related to MultiBit.

Are you sure? it sounds like the uninstaller deleted more than it should have.

I suppose the deletion operation, even if deleting the correct files, may have caused the drive to fail.

Should not be a problem if they work on a copy of the disk image.
