Title: BitVPS - service issue anyone?
Post by: moriartybitcoin on June 16, 2014, 06:30:51 PM
Hi folks,

Anyone else having a problem with BitVPS.com? I have several major live financial sites on a dedicated server with them, including BitLaunder and BitPlastic, and the server went completely offline yesterday and I've received no help whatsoever from BitVPS.

Anyone else having trouble with them, or is it just me??

You might want to contact rapeghost, I believe he is either a representative, or works for BitVPS. I've personally dealt with him, but not for the BitVPS service.

Not sure if he wants me to pass on his personal info, but I will contact him through instant messaging right now to let him know your concerns.

Just an update, BitVPS has fixed the problem and provided a compensation for the downtime.

I do apologize to any clients who experienced downtime as a result of the network issue (which was on BitVPS's end).  We had about 24-36hrs offline as a result. All sites are back online and no balances were affected.

We're now considering hotswap backups to ensure this doesn't happen again, so that we can immediately switch to another live host in the case of an upstream hosting problem.

Anyways, BITVPS fixed the issue after about 24-36hrs, although I would have preferred a little faster service, since these are live financial sites.

This is the only problem I've ever had with their hosting.
