Voted for Argentina. They were dull in their last match (the one against Bosnia & Herzegovina), but I expect them to accelerate in the knock-out stages. They are the only team capable of defeating Brazil, in this edition of the World Cup.

After their pathetic display in the match against Mexico, I don't expect them to lift this edition of the world cup. They might reach the finals somehow... but in the final they are going to lose to Argentina.  ;D

I have to admit I'm not so sure who could win at this point. It seems like it's a pretty level field this time around. I don't think any team really sticks out as clearly superior. Yet anyway...

I am still putting my money on Germany. But it will be clearer at the end of group stages. This tournament has been quite unexpected.

i don think Germany would win easy because France, Netherlands, Brazil and the underdogs Costa Rica playing well so far

They definitely won't win easy, they didn't win against Ghana...

The underdogs are playing well but I think they won't deliver match after match so you have to go with brasil argentina or germany but it is possible one of the underdog goes to the final or even wins it!

That's how nationalists look at the world. The elite vote for the marketing team that takes the throne.  Think on a global scope.

Before the world cup started I would vote for Spain. But they are out of the cup so maybe Netherlands... although Costa Rica is surprisingly doing very good, so now I'm rooting for them :D

Brasil is not playing as well as they can but I think they will get there, the best in the beginning are not always those that end up winning it; Neymar has been playing great tonight

Also, the Netherlands almost always wins all their group stage matches even in hard groups, and they often get to the finals. Even though the Netherlands never managed to win a World Cup yet they are always one of the best teams. It's just a matter of time before they will win.

Brazil's midfield is useless, everybody just watching the match. Costa Rica would have been a much better opponent here. You are at the world's biggest stage, at least work a bit hard.

Defence didn't hold up too well either.

I don't think I've ever seen a player just skip by midfielders and almost all of defence before having to pass for a goal.

Yeah Germans has won almost every encounter against Argentina, the world cup 1990 final, and last 2 quarter finals.

Not really it is more like 70% to 30% for Germany in the finals. Remember what people said before Germany - Brazil match. And see what happened, total massacre. It could be the same with Argentina.

In beginning of this World cup I believed that Spain and Brazil have most chances to win the World cup.
Now, I think everybody are disappointed with both teams.
Germany and Argentina are really the best teams in this World cup and very small details and luck will decide tomorrow.

If is performances are anything to go by....he won't make much of a difference. Germany are one hell of a force with multiple people capable of goal scoring and defending. their sub bench is better than brasils squad.

Germany IMO might have the strongest team, it would be interesting to see a good match between them and Argentine rather than a one sided match like Brazil.

She is on a 14-0 streak and got prediction of the knockout rounds absolutely correct. She had predicted correctly the result of the semi-final between Argentina and Netherlands too. She has surpassed Paul " The Octopus " who correctly predicted the result of 8 matches in last worldcup.

Germany was convincing so far, but when we look at the list of world cup winners we can clearly see the winner is usually team from that continent where world cup is held, so Argentina have that advantage and they will not give it up easy.

Argentina had a few huge opportunities and played really well, the German were constant and had a huge opportunity, it is hard to predict who is favorite
