I've never paid any import tax for any miner I've order from China, and I'm in New York.

Block Erupter Blades, Antminers, Coincraft A1 clone...nope, never paid any import tax and all delivered within 4-6 business days.

If anything, you want to avoid the US based miners...Cointerra, Butterfly Labs, AMT, Terrahash, Hashfast...

THEY SUCK ASS!  Scammy, failure to ship, failure to refund, overpromise, underdeliver.

North American mining equipment manufacturing companies are actually the scourge of the mining community.  Best to read up first on this (Hint read the Hardware forum front to back and Dogie's Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=456691).

Honestly, your best bet is to look eastbound.  Spondoolies Tech of Israel and all the China based mining companies: Bitmain, Lightning Asic, Rockminer, BTC Garden or check out these Group Buys right here in this forum:

there are a few good usa resellers.

Minersource is good.  and zoomhash is good.

I have purchased from both.

right now minersource has a good deal on the rk-box miner  and zoomhash has a good deal on the gridseed blade.

zoomhash takes paypal. http://zoomhash.com/
