I feel like you oughta be able to, is there any laws against this?

What do you care?  There is a law against riding a motorcycle without a license, that doesn't stop you.

You can,but if someone/police sees you you might get in trouble. On some places you can ride though..

Yes we have horses on the road all over the UK.  I think you are supposed to wear a high viability vest?  I would assume legally you cant have horses on high speed limit roads.

Are you from USA?

Here in Portugal I only see police do it, but I don't think there is any law that prevents you from doing it.
Having a horse it's expensive though, and maybe they would no like to ride close to cars lol

I saw people riding horses in Vienna and it was like attraction for tourists and I see people riding horses on village roads here in Croatia but I don`t see it in towns so don`t know if there is some law against that

In my place there is no problem riding a horse. But it is your responsibility to clean the horse shit. There are even many horse drawn carriages that usually carries tourists.

in India you can ride horses on public place freely and also can enjoy the ride of a horse ! That's the reason I like India very much you can enjoy anything there!

If you thought I was joking about the sobriety requirement, you're mistaken. In many jurisdictions, you can indeed get a DUI while riding a horse.

Yes, you cannot ride horses on restricted roads like motorways.
Horses are allowed on normal highways.

Depends on where you live but commonsense would tell you to stay off the autobahn unless your horse has wheels and plenty of koolade in the tank

But you horse might get scared by the cars and you don't want to fall from your horse in the middle of a street with vehicles with some decent speed

on the motorway or autobahn is best if you can get it to run fast enough :o

Over in the UK the common practice is for people to slow down and keep their revs low.

I think it will all depends on what country you're riding the horse.
