Launch: 07/06/14

The Altcoin ecosystem is teeming with unnecessary, poorly supported coins. Many of which, were designed with the sole intention to "pump and dump" to enrich the developer. We seek to change this damaging practice with the introduction of PeerPay!

Objective

Professionally moderate PeerCoin's development, bridging the best and the brightest resources in the BCT community together to design and deploy a truly "next gen" CryptoCurrency. Participants will be paid in PeerCoin upon it's deployment, and with BTC that is donated by the community.

IPO Potential
This is a touchy subject, and rightfully so. The decision to implement an IPO will be dependent on the community's feedback. Marketing, development and support have their associated costs. Ideally, these costs can be covered by the community via donations to the project. This warrants further discussion and will be debated as the project matures.

Want to Join the Team?

Start by participating in the thread of course! Beyond participation, applicants are encouraged to contact us at peerpay@outlook.com or SKYPE -peerpay. We are looking for the best in the Dev community to work on this project. Examples of previous work and technical know-how are required in your email application. Potential candidates will be listed on the OP and we encourage the community to participate in final selections!

Twitter: https://twitter.com/PeerPay (In development, waiting for logo designed by the community)

LOGO!

Get creative folks! Post your best works of art in the thread and the community will decide! Our objective is to have a community designed logo become official by 06/29/14

Premine? What new do you offer with your project? What are your ideas for the future? Why do you ask anyone about IPO? IPO lowers your trust. Why new account with no activity? What do you plan to achive here?

All excellent questions.
-I guess I could have used my main BCT account (bosman, which I will post from shortly), however I wanted to start a new account to manage this thread from.
-I am not selling anything. What I offer is a professionally managed project that bridges together the best in the crypto world.
-IPO (if you read what I posted in the thread) is a potential option. One that will take serious consideration and input from the community. It's more a question of funding development (professional development) than personal gain.
-Premine, again reading my OP description, it suggests that payments made to active participants in the development of this coin will require some form of premine. The amount will be decided by the community.. not me.

What about the question of US SEC filing requirements?

I'm really hoping for some community participation! Everyone seems to complain about "shit-coins" and "scams" yet doesn't want to invest the energy in a legitimate project :P

Very exciting interest thus far!

I would love the community to give their feedback on the logo's posted. As well, please give your thoughts on the kind of image you feel PeerPay should convey.

In regards to programmers, we are looking for talent that is ethically driven and who wants to be part of a long term coin development project/team. Don't hesitate to participate :)

Your definitely a contender.  You tentatively have the graphic design role pending a logo that matches the solution we are trying to deliver. I may have a web developer already, however we will all work as a team. I am still in the interview process with him.

Lets see some more examples! I like your work!

Or was the left brain half transmitting what the right half ordered?  That's funny. Just for that I will mine this coin.

BCT community = Broward County Transit's (BCT) community

What are you planning to do to prevent hash rape by large farms and large pools and the subsequent imminent dump by those parties as it hits the exchanges? Let me re-phrase - what are you doing so that the small miner with 5-10MHs can get some coins and that 80% of the coins are not owned by 0.5% of the miners?

I agree with that. Maybe you could consider something in line with the recent Mineral lauch? ie, a limitation of individual hashrate, or something in line with it ?

Strongly agree, I believe this was done for the first time with Minerals and it did well.
