Title: A1BitcoinPool Compensation
Post by: legolouman on February 26, 2012, 08:24:13 PM
Guys, I'm getting ready to finalize the list and start sending out payments. I plan on doing it anywhere from 7-8 PM EST today. Please make sure that you are happy with the numbers!

I also want to be sure of the following:
  • My math is correct, both for totals and to P2Pool
  • All miners who wish to speak up, and get part of the donations, have done so.
  • I can't stress this enough, but I want to make sure that the numbers are right!
  • Make sure that you have posted your address in THIS thread, or PM'd it to me.

For all miner's that were scammed by A1Bitcoin Pool, people have decided to save the day.

Raize has donated 37 BTC on behalf of p2pool to help our cause.
Goat is willing to help our cause.
Clipse has offered up to ten BTC to aid the miners.

Currently, PPS miners are the only miners to be compensated. I'm beginning to work on Prop Miners!
If you see any edits that need to be done, obviously let me know.

The current list of people who will receive the donation:

PPS

Bulanula - .93 BTC
martychubbs- 18.5K shares * 0.00004588 - .84878BTC
DirtyCat - 60,161 shares * 0.00004588 - 2.76018668BTC*
AniceInovation - 200k shares * 0.00004588 - 9.176BTC
someone703 - 20K shares * .00004588=.9176BTCBTC
JWU42 - 20000*.00004588=.9176
rTech - 7k*.00004588=.32116 BTC (half to P2Pool)
notme - 1294 * .00004588 - .05936872BTC*
xxaudioxx - 25000 * .00004588= 1.147BTC*

Currently, there is 16.1476954 claimed BTC
of which, 4.1271354 BTC will go to P2Pool

Prop
Me - 100+ shares on prop (1.25 BTC)
heinz - 500k+ shares  (5.25 BTC)
P4man - 129,484 shares on Prop* (1.5623 BTC)
Icanhazhash (rjk) - 30000 Prop (.375 BTC)*
Sweetsnelda - 360000 prop (4.5 BTC)
simonk93 - 20000 (.25BTC)*
someone703 - 125000 (1.5625BTC)
AniceInovation(2) - 400000 (5BTC)*

Total Prop claimed 12.6123BTC
Of which 7.1873 BTC will go to P2Pool

11.3144354 BTC was donated to P2Pool @ Address 1L4cabqBvApcMPDjyeD2mkPRB466UWfzY8 so far!

My request is that everyone who was scammed honor my donation here by mining on P2Pool and to encourage all future miners mine on P2Pool instead of these obscure pools that attempt to scam you. This is for the betterment of Bitcoin as a whole, thanks.

Late additions:
Crosby - 30000*.00004588 (PPS)=1.3764
rastapool - 100000 (Prop) 1.25

*To be donated to P2Pool

EDIT: I am running out of funds to allocate. If we run out, I will send them in the order they were requested. Meaning the earlier I put you on the list, the earlier you will be paid.

Update: I am still not able to contact Sweetsnelda for the 4.5 BTC. If anyone knows who was using Sweetsnelda on A1B, please let me know!
Payments have otherwise been sent!

Currently there is BTC left to send to be sent if 'Sweetsnelda' contacts me or if anyone else can prove proof of work.

BTC sent (use this, as I'm tired of updating the upper portions): 34.9468954
BTC yet to be sent: 4.5 BTC (to sweetsnelda)

I had about 20k shares on PPS.

Posted image by sveetsnelda (of the block found glitch) shows that I was mining on A1's pool even though it was very outdated with old numbers long before he dashed on everyone:

OK. As said tens of times here is what I am owed on the PPS 120% offer ( not proportional ) :

I mined for him a total of 205501 shares ( this was 2 days before he supposedly got hacked ; I stopped mining 2 days before the hack because my router broke )

He last paid me at 184168 shares.

He owes me 21333 shares at rate ( 60 / 1,379,647 = 0.000043489385328276 ) so total of ~0.93 BTC.

Proof I submitted 205501 shares right here : http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Lr_rRazJ9zoJ:www.a1bitcoinpool.com/stats.php ( now unavailable but I am sure I did submit that many shares since I stopped 2 days before server got hacked and the page showed clearly 205501 total )

Address is 1QEhKt1ZH7eZEe3Dr6jAKnNEAuKKbqSwZt

And as i had said before i have 247k unpaid shares, not 200k.
Since it is being paid by a donator, i'll settle for the 200k.

I'm sure that I may catch flak for this, but I am going to trust what he says, as it is pretty accurate in comparison to what I have.

I used the 120%PPS value for calculating my numbers, it appears A1B did not (with the exception of BulaNula). I will begin to integrate A1B's input if there are no problems from the miners

When payments are sent, it will be done.

I'm waiting to do all payments at once, and I will wait until we are all sure that everything is accounted for and right.

No worries!

Just for the record, when paying people, I planned on using a different address for each person, and posting proof of donation to P2Pool.

Payments will also most likely be sent tomorrow.

Can you get verification on how many I'm owed since his list just has ???? for mine.

I know it's around 20k but may be a bit less depending on how recent his data is before whatever messed up the pool.

Crosby  30,000+  shares @ 120 % owed

I tried p2pool for a few days, had poor payouts compared to major fee based pools in my experience, otherwise I would have donated to p2pool.

Cheers

No, no, Goat, it was on a1bitcoinpool.com. I sent to you my conversations about previous pool, because this is only "sort of evidence of contact with him" that I have.
Previous pool was PPS only, and was well-payed. 18 of Jan, a1-guy sent me invite on a1bitcoinpool.com, where I mined 100k  shares on prop and out.

Sorry for the delay!

Thanks.

Legolouman,
Do you have any final stats then on how much we actually ended up paying for this? I have had A1BITCOINPOOL contact me and I have given him a number lower than what I ended up spending to "clear his name" of sorts, I just want to make sure that I give an appropriate percentage of this to Goat when/if it comes in. Thanks!

From the math I just did, exactly 34.9468954 of the 37 BTC you sent me was sent. One person, whom I have not been able to contact, is still owed 4.5 BTC. While Goat, and a few others did volunteer to help, I have not asked them to send money, as I have not heard from Sweetsnelda. I want to thank you again for helping us out.

tl;dr:
34.9468954 of the 37 BTC you sent has been payed out.
There is still 4.5 BTC owed, but I have not heard from that individual.

Did you want the remaining ~2BTC back?

As always, be sure to update me once you have a settlement.

No, please give them another couple weeks and then you can take it as compensation for the responsibility I put on you to figure it all out. Much appreciated!

Also, thanks to Goat and the others for their offers and thanks to Maged for monitoring this for us. I'm still hoping A1 and I can come to some sort of arrangement whereby he can get credit for the compensation, I'll keep you guys posted!

PLEASE NOTE:
A1BITCOINPOOL has officially paid me back to the tune of 35 BTC. I did not ask for the full 37 BTC because I consider it advertisement expenses for P2Pool. A1BITCOIN was actually more eager to pay off the debt than I thought he would be, he contacted me almost immediately but my lack of sufficient response and a vacation seem to have caused a delay in clearing his name.

I've asked Maged to see what he and the mods can do to remove the scammer tag and I ask that anyone affected by this situation please accept that I consider this situation closed and over with and wish A1 the best on getting back on his feet. I thank him profusely for not only showing he's a man of his word, but proving that Bitcoin has one less "scammer" than we thought.

So Raize had the only claim against A1BITCOINPOOL? (I've forgotten the details of this case.)

Yeah, he bought everyone else out. At 100% of how much they were owed, no less.

I have posted links pointing all relevant threads here. If ANYONE has any outstanding claims against A1BITCOINPOOL, please make them known immediately to assist the moderators/admins. I'm interested in wrapping this all up. Thanks!

As far as I am aware, there are no other outstanding claims.

I have not heard from A1B user 'Sweetsnelda'.
All other miner's were paid.
Even though there were others willing to help, no one else was needed.

Anything remaining I did keep, as allowed by Raize.

Thanks again to all involved for the help in aiding the miners, resolving the issue, and the like.

I think the correct spelling is actually "sveetsnelda", who has an account on this forum.

Thanks to this, we were able to find the last user that was owed bitcoins. We are currently in the process of dispersing those bitcoins. Goat, contact Raize if you still want to help. I don't know yet if Raize will cover this or not.

I can cover it but I thought A1 wanted to pay it back? What happened?
This is separate from what A1 already paid.

Okay I will cover it as long as A1 keeps the scammers tag. Send me the amount of BTC to pay and an address. Thanks.
You're confused. I'm just letting you know that you should contact Raize and find out if he will cover it or not.

A1 will, of course, keep the scammer tag until this last issue is resolved.

After thinking about this, I don't think A1 should have the scammers tag if he did pay the rest back. I'm sure something will work out.
It's policy that we have to deal with at this point. Even if you pay the 4.5 BTC off entirely for him for free, we can't remove the tag. You can come to some settlement that's lower than that to remove the tag, but it must still be reasonable. That's why I want you to go through Raize, since he has the ability to bundle this in with the previous agreement.
