Title: Scrypt miner acquisition
Post by: Alex_TNT on June 24, 2014, 12:08:43 PM
I'll keep the thread simple.

What kind of scrypt miner I can buy for 300euros + shipping?
or what's the best one for 300euros?

hate to be the carryer of bad news, but just dont buy anything.
its hard to see ROI with any miner now, because those asics were mining long time before they were placed for sales.
difficulty is rising insanely, and the price is stagnant, or even going lower; long story short, bad profit for you as a miner.

You can buy a 1.3 MH/s scrypt asic with USD 105 that will be shipped a week from now (on 7/02/2014).

Ya dont spend too much if it will be only fun, because it will be for sure only fun. There are specialized companies that are making chips themself at no extra cost and mass production

I would recommend you to try to use small portion on the funds while use the others to purchase Bitcoins, with the rising difficulty and the rising cost, it wouldn't be profitable for a long time, maybe not even letting you ROI, depending on the rate of ASICs shipped.

In that case, you could check thisisverypointless's link, as MinerEU is based in UK and is also a reseller of gridseed.
And I don't see any complaints in the last 3 pages of their thread, so I believe they are legit.

I guess I am not one of the guys, as the product I suggested (after transport) is still within your budget, right?  :)

I've checked MinerEU I'm a bit sceptic, the price are so small 110$, I've sent them a message about the shipping price.

I'm not commenting about the second quote :)

Weren't you gonna exchange it for BTC after mining? If you still insist on not making a profit, try to buy from eyeboot, I know they don't have the latest hardware, but they do offer a good price for their hardware.
