as most of u know theres a guy lurking on the forums called Spoetnik (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=138471) whos spamming most topics with his newbie and 99% entirely wrong crap talk, propaganda, fud, lies and harassment.

its truly disgusting to read this crap.  lets have a democratic vote- should this thing be removed from the forums?

There are lots of users that do the same and for quite a while but aren't banned. I think it's called freedom of speech.

yes my friend freedom of speech is fine, Spoetnik is not.  his entire being is a problem.

Even if majority would be for it i don't think moderators would have it done. If they would consider him unsuitable for these forums then he would be banned already.

Can't ban people from the forum for any other reason than serious scamming really or other obvious things that are illegal.. Even then i'm not sure they ban people. This board is a very free place and should stay that way. The mods do delete stuff randomly now and then but mostly this boards moderation is pretty much spot on.

sometimes he does make good points, but if you sift through enough dog shit you'll find a quarter.

There's no fucking law against offending someone, and absolutely no fucking reason to ban Spoetnik.  i suggest you put your big boy pants on and develop a thicker skin.  start with the fucking ignore button, you baby.  

I disagree with a lot of what Spoetnik says, primary because a large percentage is juvenile or simply trolling -- or completely bizarre, such as that post where he compared himself to Goebells. But nah, that isn't a reason to ban him. Not that you could even if you wanted to.

If that rapecoin guy was allowed to have a thread (beats me why that was allowed, as it would seemingly fall under the promoting illegal activity category), I don't think Spoetnik ranks up anywhere near ban worthy.

Definitely do NOT ban Spoetnik.  Yes, he's an evil asshole.  But this is clearly due to some kind of mental illness.  Schizophrenia would be my guess.

I honestly feel sorry for the guy.  He clearly doesn't have anything else going on in his life, so taking away this forum would be devastating.  Just let him rant, like the crazy homeless man on the street corner.  He's harmless, and you can always ignore him.

First we should ban you, then we can talk about others.

My vote is no. If someone should be banned, mods will do it. Freedom of speach is important and if someone dont like other member posts he dont have to read them.

Well, I voted to ban him. But that is only because his nonsense ramblings and garbage talk really don't advance or progress the discussions in any threads.....its just trolling or bitching about random shit. The guy must not have a life, or maybe he's on meth or something.


Edit: But honestly both of these idiots should be banned.

The "should we ban x" threads make no sense.

If someone annoys you, there's the very useful ignore button, which makes him go away from all threads instantly.
And it has the added benefit that he won't simply come back with another account after being banned anyways.
