What do you think, what a good coin is for the future?

- Bitcoin
- Litecoin

- Guldencoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=554412.0

I'm liking the look of post dump coins that have strong communities. All coins pre or during their pump and dump cycles could vanish once dumped. If a coin has been dumped and continues to be developed I think it's a strong sign. I'm looking for coins which are showing signs of pushing adoption rather than pushing blind hype. Slow and Steady wins the race.

Unfortunately I have lost a lot of BTC on new alt-coins that turned out to have been launched only by devs to collect the money of investors and miners, and then disappear.
In example, the devs of AlterEgoCoin, DigitalCommerce and Nanolite have run away with the money, and I was foolish enough to trust them with my money.

To me there currently is 1 coin of which I deem the devs trustworthy.
These devs develop the coin and expand the market in a solid and steady pace and have been doing so from the beginning.
These devs are running Guldencoin.

there will be one dominant ledger for normal transaction (very likely bitcoin)

there will be one dominant ledger for anonymous transaction (a cryptonote/ringsignature or a zerocash project)

the rest will at best find a niche or simply die

Let's be honest,BTC is the most integrated, you can use it world wide, nice and easy, but yet, many people still think it's risky to buy into it cos of the price fluctation
So with that said,I don't know what chance country coins have, that's a very long process to integrate them,it will take lot of years,so if you invest, don't expect that in a year time you will get your money doubled..
Some anon coins will have a good chance to integrate into sex industry, which is huge and people inolved in it like anon transactions..:D

The future of all coins is to evolve into next generation systems that do more than transactions
But also evolve to do derivatives colored shares decentralized stock exchanges and storage
2.0 Protocols

Some people are working on that and are real close to launching the first real thing. Ask if you do not know who that is.

I would recommend hedging a bit with the litecoin.  Darkcoin and numerous other X11 and X13 based coins appear to be on an accelerated path insofar as potential profitability.  Obviously that much riskier as well.
