If you have just prepared a new one it will not recognize it. I don't think there is a virus in this file. Devs weren't able to clone a coin properly and preparing a virus requires something more... Anyway if someone ask you to download binaries in the coin world and do not release sources, so you (or anyone else) could see what is inside before launching it, this is a condemnable practise. Even worse if he prompt the new binary version leaving the old one at the git hub. Bad intentions or a gross negligence.
