Title: X11mod, X13mod, X15 and catalyst 14.7 RC
Post by: utahjohn on June 26, 2014, 03:47:51 AM
Wow I just got these modified kernels for sph_sgminer with 14.6 RC2 I am getting
7.7Mhs combined on X11 with a 280x+7950 which did only 6.1Mhs combined using
14.4 and default kernels in sph_sgminer.
7950 now 3.6 MHs, 280x now 4.1 Mhs.
Rename your x11mod.cl just in case you want to revert to old version.  Ditto for x13mod.cl.
Delete .bin files and restart sgminer ...

http://puu.sh/9Bkmt/c7f933e297.7z

I've had amazing results with this kernel with every single card except any of my 7950s. I'm getting 2.7mhs per 7950, but seeing many get over 3 with this kernel. I've brought my farm from 450mh/s to about 525mh/s with the kernel, but that would be about 600mh/s if I could get the 80+ 7950's mining at 3.5+!

The 7970's by far were the most noticeable in terms of an increase on this bin for me. The Sapphire 7970's do 4.1 easily.

As a heads up to anyone that might have the same issue. I went back to look at this again (I didn't heavily troubleshoot while upgrading nearly 50 rigs) and found that the 7950 rigs and a couple 7970 rigs that didn't see a bump in performance actually didn't complete the full ATI update to 14.6. I had to completely remove the prior version, and install from scratch (14.6 RC was released yesterday too) and it fixed the lack of a bump on those machines. I should be at 600mh/s by this evening, when I finish them all.
Upgrade done, pushing about 590 mh/s on waffle now with the same gear. Not fun upgrading Catalyst on 49 rigs, but well worth the results!
From what I've seen on all of my rigs, the most recent x11mod and 14.6 beta (RC2), I max out on my 7950's right around 3.6, and the 280x's around 4.2, so you're in the zone. I don't have any powercolors, so I'm not sure if it differs much. I use different settings then you have, mostly xintensity and my thread-concurrency was bumped down from the typical 24000 to 8192, but the results are the same.

Hey,  do either of you know how to get the 14.6 RC drivers to run six 7950 gpus on win 8.1?  I've been waiting for something to pop up in a thread dealing with 6+ gpus & windows on another board but haven't seen anything yet.
Right now I'm running the 14.4 drivers with modded .inf files and lasybears x11mod here on wafflepool. Seeing about 2.98 mh per 7950 card with 8 amp total draw,  which is pretty nice.  I Just "upgraded" from win8 to 8.1 in hopes of moving to the 14.6 drivers once I can figure out how to run six cards with them,  but just loaded the modded 14.4 drivers in the meantime.  I know that I'll have to change the x11 kernel to work with the 14.6 drivers, and I saw some people talking about loading some portions of the 14.6 drivers into the older driver folders to get them to work easily,  but not too sure about that.

Please post configs that are working for you ... card type, MHs, power draw if known :) also what version of sgminer you are using.

Warning do not update to 14.9 WHQL, u will murder your hashrates all algos

Hopefully if enough people complain about the 5+ card issue they will fix it before release.
6+cards seem to be working ok with 14.7RC3 now out of the box :)

Use 7zip to extract and place the .cl files in your sgminer 4.1.0 kernels folder.

Optimized x13mod bin file for 7950 Tahiti (and possibly 280x,290x and other 6xxx,7xxx) compiled with sgminer 4.1.0 catalyst 14.6RC2 for use with catalyst 14.4

If you want to try another TC or WS on X13 let me know and I'll compile  and try it and post bin.
To try with non Tahiti card try editing file name to Hawaii or whatever ...

I'm also interested in collecting X13 vs scrypt hashrate info.

Remember this is a testing thread, your mileage may vary :)
If you are having trouble, please post detailed info what u are using, what problem is :) There are no mind readers here LOL.
Read the thread, your question/problem may have already been addressed.

Not working with my 6 GPU rigs unfortunately (only 4 GPUs are usable). The drivers will need to be modded if you have 5+ GPUs.

However, this *should* work, I haven't had a chance to try it yet:

I attempted to follow along from the original post and made this for the "14.6-Beta-V1.0-Windows-May23" download that you can grab currently from AMD. I only made 2 .infs that replaced the two in \Packages\Drivers\Display\WB6A_INF.

I initially tried it without cleaning out the files and it failed. I would recommend following the OP's post on clearing out the files here: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=11001.msg79830#msg79830

I installed the same way as suggested in that post. I installed with fewer than 3 cards installed at the time. Afterwards I hooked the rest of them up and finally had 6 cards (r9 270s on Windows 8.1) working. I needed the 14.6 drivers as this miner: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=658411 is optimized for them and now my r9 270s are hashing ~2.5-2.7 Mh/s on x11mod kernel.

Anyhow, try these at your own risk: http://www.filedropper.com/146modtest       * fixed link

Cheers

Post up with results if you try that.  Are you using the 14.6 RC2 or the original 14.6 beta drivers? Wondering if the above suggestion would only work with the first beta drivers only,  or if it would not matter if the RC2 drivers were loaded.

I found this update and tried to install the Catalyst 14.6 with the modified x11mod kernel. So far the hashrates increased a lot for my r9 280x cards.

XFX R9 280X now: 3.8 MH/s before: 3.1 MH/s
ASUS R9 280X DC2T now: 4.1 MH/s before 3.1 MH/s
XFX R9 270X now: 2.5 MH/s before 2MH/s

I don't have data for power consumtion right now.

All three cards in one rig is about 10.5 MH/s and seems to run stable at the moment. GPU Temps about 67° now; before the update about 65°

You are missing the point of the OP ... simple upgrade to 14.6 RC2 and x11mod.cl from the link now works with sgminer 4.1.0 without have to do a lot of mucking about in patching up 14.6 beta original or creating yet another fork of sgminer to get it to work.
I don't want to be locked into a .bin provided that only works with whatever TC and WS it was compiled with.
I need to be able to compile my own working .bin from .cl to work on further tuning of config :)

Cheers :)

Forgot to post this here aswell..

EDIT: Forgot to mention this BIN file is for 7950 or 280X cards, haven't tried it with any others!

If you're on 14.4 drivers and don't want the hassle of going to 14.6, just download this guys BIN file (I had to modify the BIN filename from 8192 to 8191 as that's the TC I use). I've got a 20% boost overall:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=658975.msg7419294#msg7419294

Quote
Delete that .bin created on 14.4 driver and copy this one. Its made on 14.6, 100% working  Wink
https://www.dropbox.com/s/z2igfbzxeqrtly0/x11modTahitiglg2tc8192w256l4.bin

I'm running Windows 7 with the 14.4 v3 mod drivers, lasybear's miner (sgminer_x11x13mod_03_06_2014.zip), and Pencha's BIN file.

I have 6 GPUs per machine and get 3.7 m/hash per card @ 1080/1500.

Anyone have a 3 modified INF for the 14.6 RC2 yet for 5+ GPUs ???

Currently testing X15 algo (bitblock), I'm getting around 2.2Mhs on a 7950 which is about 4x scrypt
I'm using SGminer beta 5. Windows 7 x64 (only tested with X15 so far)

Sorry I don't have 7990 :(

My settings for X15 and X13 on the R9 280X and 7970s

sgminer.exe --algorithm bitblock -o POOL -u USER -p PASS -w 128 --lookup-gap 2 -I 18 -g 4 --gpu-powertune 0 --gpu-engine 1030 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-fan 35-80 --temp-target 62 --temp-overheat 67 --temp-cutoff 74 --auto-fan

Getting about 2.7 in X13 and 2.0 in X15
Driver is 14.4 (gonna try 14.6 see if I can squeeze more)
sgminer 4.2.1

WOW!
is that driver showing you crap or really the card goes to 100C ? check temp physically and power consumption.
I will scare the shit outta me if I see 100C on one of my GPUs :o
what miner, bin, settings, driver, os,card are U using?

Not working with my 6 GPU rigs unfortunately (only 4 GPUs are usable). The drivers will need to be modded if you have 5+ GPUs.

However, this *should* work, I haven't had a chance to try it yet:

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=11761.msg185847#msg185847

Quote

Cheers

Same experience only get 5 290 GPUs on a Asrock Bitcoin Board with 14.6.

Well it fired up fine and was about 50% fastest but unstable since within the hour I lost the 6th card.  Some weird error message in device manager,  I rolled back the driver and still am getting better hash but not maxing it out man.

for some reason on x15 my fans stay at idle no matter how hot the card gets (MSI 290) if I set fan speed manually in msi afterburner works ok and temps are normal

I know it looks obvious but, make sure afterburner is not running and use something like this in the .BAT of the miner:

--temp-target 63 --temp-overheat 68 --temp-cutoff 73 --gpu-fan 35-90 --auto-fan

see if still behaves like that, if it is the only choice i can think of is to set afterburner to a fixed FAN speed, 290 are huge beasts, so probably 70 to 80% would be best, I have all MSI 280X and in scrypt-N i run all cards at 100%, in X11,13,15 usually are between 40 a 60%.

Remember that sgminer v5 is a beta ...

Report issues to the developers at https://github.com/sgminer-dev/sgminer/tree/v5_0-x15

Report issues with catalyst 14.6 RC2 at http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D25AD12B25

Hopefully if enough people complain about the 5+ card issue they will fix it before official release.

Interestingly the x11mod kernel compiled with sgminer v5 beta was a darkcoin-mod bin not x11mod bin so dumping optimized x11mod.cl into v5 kernel directory has no effect with v5.  Seems that v5 maps x11mod to darkcoin-mod :( I tried deleting darkcoin-mod.cl and renaming x11mod.cl to darkcoin-mod.cl but compile fails ???

However putting it in 4.1.0 kernel directory definitely works :)

Just want to throw a big thank you out here to all of the people talking about the new AMD drivers and new SGminer version out, in particular utahjohn. I've upgraded my linux rigs to the 14.6 drivers, updated my sgminer, tweaked my settings and overlocking and it's increased my hash rate on x11 by almost 50% over what I was getting before. Seriously... HUGE difference. Thanks a ton!!

utahjohn, I know that you are collecting 14.6RC2 data in this thread,  but is there a .bin file available for x13 from 14.6 drivers that I can drop into my mining folder so that I can stick with my 14.4 modded driver, like I have been doing with x11?
(I'm running six hd7950 cards on one Win8 rig.)

My x13 stats right now are that I'm seeing about ~2.33 Mh/s per card,  ~14Mh/s total using lasybears x11/x13 miner. I tossed in the modded kernel and saw the same hashrate with either one. Haven't checked amp draw, but I'll estimate around 8A based on card temps.

Baah... trying your bin for X13 and only getting around 2280KH or so at a total of 9.12MH for my 4x 7950's.  Same rig gets over 14MH on X11 with another modified bin.
You are comparing apples to oranges LOL.  X11 and X13 are different algo.  X13 is a bit slower than X11.
You have not posted what your configs are, what sgminer version, what catalyst version.
This makes it hard to take any credence from your post.  Many successes with the bin and postings in the testing thread.

No, I understand X13 would get less than X11.  My point being that others are reporting between 2600-2800KHs with your bin and their 7950's and I'm hovering around 2260-2300KHs, so was just looking for some tips/advise.  Used most of my settings from my X11 setup, but tweaked a bit here and there to eek out a bit more.

My 4x 7950's are MSI TF IIIs.
Using PiMP 1.5.5-amd-13.12 (the 13.12 AMD drivers may be the problem here, but I thought the Linux 14.x series drivers weren't good for old cards like the 7950's)
SGMiner 4.1.0, X13mod and your bin

Not doing anything wrong, sgminer v5 has been modified in that when you specity x11mod you actually get darkcoin-mod kernel.  Look at the binfile created by v5.  same thing happens with x13mod kernel specified, you get marucoin-mod bin file.
The x11mod and x13mod .cl posted in OP and the bin posted on OP do work great with sgminer 4.1.0

The optimized x11mod and x13mod .cl DO NOT WORK on sgminer v5

Hello..

So it kinda seems like everyone is running there gpu full tilt boogie on x11 etc ! Which is  fine, if you have cheap power rates. Im paying about .12 a killa watt. So its a bit high. I ran scypt for full throttle for about 4 months. I finally realized that running a heavy under volt was the way to go. It didn't really pay off to have the rig pulling massive watts form the wall. Heres a little example. One rig with 6 270 was pulling 1080 watts on scrypt. Hashing around 2900 kh/s. I undervolted to .950 and was able to get 2520 kh/s at 705 watts. So my question is has anyone found some good hashing power with new or old drivers on x11 while still pulling minimal watts from the wall?

x11 uses about half the power of scrypt which is another reason why it's so popular with GPU miners. Using the newest 14.6 drivers with any x11 supported sgminer version should give you good hashing at a much lower power cost compared to scrypt. Plus it'll be more profitable.

utahjohn - so continuing the conversation from the Wafflepool thread...

I backed up all my configs and updated to the PiMP 1.5.5-amd-14.4 distro image which has Catalyst 14.4.

Copied over your optimized cl files and the bin files (your X13 bin and someone else's optimized bin for X11).

Results are almost exactly the same as I had under the 13.12 drivers on 14.4:
https://i.imgur.com/hJHOc4s.png

Any higher on "some" of the GPU's core/mem speeds get me HW errors or SICK GPUs.

Playing with other values such as variations on intensity, shaders, GPU threads, etc, get me lower values than these.

Any ideas?

I've been seeing my highest hashrates using I=18.  If I go to 19 or higher, or 17 or lower, it will fall off.

Try I=18 and then see if you can goose the memclocks up 10 at a time and see what happens.

(If I go above 1500 memclock, or  1100 engine clock, my gpus will start checking out.)

What are you using for gpu threads? 4 seems to work ok for me,  I will lose hash if I go to 1. I forget what happens if I go to 2 or 3.

I have sapphire hd7950 though,  don't know much about the MSI cards other than they might drink a little more power.

Edit: Also wanted to add that I'm using the lasybear x11/x13 miner,  although I don't know if the modded x13 kernel loaded into a different sgminer basically would give the same performance. Maybe trying  that miner would help.  It is based  off of the "2% fee" miner but does not send hash out to anyone.

on my 1g memory (or above) 5xxx and 6xxx cards ,the bitblockold algorithm works fine, but 512m cards can't run, says not enough memory.
I tried to decrease TC or increase LG,can't work neither.
seems that parameter "--thread-concurrency" and "--lookup-gap" don't play a part in Bitblockold algorithm.
Is there any other ways that can  decrease the memory occupancy in order to let my 512m cards run the x15 algo?

Drop WS to 64 (or even 32 which I have not tried), gpu-threads 1.  However I never got my 5450 to work on X15 ...

Hi everyone, I have been trying to get my Sgminer5.0 to mine X15 for the past few days. I'm having problems with the config file, evey config i try gives me no connection to the pool, or HW errors with invalid noncecount, also the other issue is low difficulty shares being rejected. I am using BAMT with SGMINER 5.0 and its the only way I can mine x15, if anyone has a config file i can try please I will pay for you help.

I'm using the bitblock kernel and this config to just try to get the x11 to work, but it still comes with low difficulty shares. Anytime i try another config with bitblock kernel or if i try to change this config i get invalid nonce count and HW errors. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi everyone! Im sorry for not exect topic theme , but please tell my. Does amd 14.6 drivers no longer support scrypt/Nscrypt mining ? Im getting only HWs at any config.
2*270x+3*280x.

It worked just fine on BAMT 1.3-1.6 and PIMP 14.4 drivers.

Thanks.

Cant get my 280X work with new X15 sgminer, even did some Fire coin mining some days ago. Any idea? Thx
What version?
I am using sgminer-5.0-pre-release-2014-06-25-win32
I know it is a pre-release, but hey, it works pretty well, so why change it?

my cards are MSI 280X Gaming 3G, driver 14.4, win 7
settings: (mine.bat)
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe --algorithm bitblock -o stratum+tcp://east01.us.trademybit.com:6660 -u USERNAME -p PASS -w 128 --lookup-gap 2 -I 18 -g 4 --gpu-powertune 10 --gpu-engine 1030 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-fan 35-80 --temp-target 62 --temp-overheat 67 --temp-cutoff 74 --auto-fan --hamsi-expand-big 1

I am using the modded bin, posted here, I get 2.9M per card at 1030 Mhz in X15
if you cannot find the modded bin or the miner, contact me, I will upload it to mega or something.

anyone with R9 280X getting better results, can please post settings and what you are using?
thanks!

I have not looked at sgminer-dev v5 for a while are there any new windows binaries that are current with the dev tree?
I am looking forward to ability to switch kernels on the fly :)  (last time I tried v5 I had GPU's going DEAD occasionally).  Anyone with recent experience please post your findings, I am most interested in X11 X13 X15 and Groestl switching capability.

Yep, I'm like the large freighter, it takes me much longer to turn the ship. I'm paying closer attention once again, it's just such a pain keeping up to date, but that said, it's missed profit if I don't. Really need to get this algorithm switching working with CGminer and SGminer 5. That is my next goal.
Let me know when u get it all worked out, a working solution with sgminer-dev v5 is also my goal.

Interesting sidenote ... I find my 7950's do better than 280x's on groestl algo, Don't know why :)

Last time I tried cgwatcher and cgremote (months ago) I found my hashrates were lower than without.  Maybe API polling has this effect on the miner IDK.

Have two rigs (3x7970 and 4x7950) working right now using multi-algo.. Seems I had it figured out yesterday, just needed to restart the machines for whatever reason. I've witnessed them switch 3-4 times each, very interesting. Will keep it going while I sleep before changing over any others.

Cgwatcher and CGremote is a must for me, it gives me one panel to see all my rigs, and it is used often.

I'm not risking it with 14.7 now, as I've spent far too much time on my many rigs updating protocols, but I'm thrilled to finally have CGwatcher working with SG 5.0 and automated Algorithm switching. Pointing 10 rigs to Nicehash right now, I had two running last night, and both made it through the night with many switches, and both were stable. So, I'm expanding to include the rest of the farm slowly (50 rigs).

I probably should better clarify what the payment is on nicehash vs. Wafflepools, as I'm not 100% clear on that. I love Wafflepools, and think the dev there is both highly skilled and trustworthy.. I don't know anything about nicehash's, but must say they have a great system setup. After a slow rollout to X11, and then X13, it's nice to make a jump to have most of the new protocols running and being up to speed on the latest trend (this week's flavor). I suppose once that is stable, it will be time to upgrade to 14.7 RC.

OK i'm going to see how 14.7RC goes on one rig now, having gotten some sleep I'm ready LOL.
i would have thought somebody had already tried it by now :)

Clean install of 14.7RC done, now waiting for Winblowz updates to complete so I can reboot.

Initial impressions: Well It didn't trash and crash my box :)  No noticeable increase in hashrate on a 5xxx card.
14.4 cedar bin seems to work best with this card ... Actually seeing a slight gain in hashrate using old bin :)
14.4 cedar bin https://mega.co.nz/#!DVp3EKbb!ZXO8SUTlnbeBCO-UxSGBpENiJZA9KH_wTXbBnEg20VI (https://mega.co.nz/#!DVp3EKbb!ZXO8SUTlnbeBCO-UxSGBpENiJZA9KH_wTXbBnEg20VI)

Will update production box now and try 7950+280x
Grrr ... BSOD during install, running install again ... OK install completed sucessfuly.  Again waiting on Winblowz updates to complete before reboot ...
Agonizingly slow load of wallets to start mining again.  I need to get this box a SSD :)
Mining again still using 14.6RC2 bin files and need to run for a few hours to see where they stabilize, then will try 14.7RC bin and see if any improvement ... OK actually got lower hashrates with 14.7RC bin.

My quick conclusion: Ignore 14.7RC and stick with 14.6RC2 for now.

utah,

i have gotten 5 cards running stead on the 14.6rc2, running win 8.1/sgminer x11 moded/gigabyte r9 270x 4gb versions, things are normal and steady with 5 cards but throw the 6th card in the mix and all goes to crap lol.

each card hashes x11 at 2.6M/h

my power consumption went from 1100 watts on scrypt to 500 watts on x11, and my payouts are just about the same(possibly less only due to the hit scrypt has taken lately)

The 14.7 have some serious issues and may fry your gpu(s) !

Go back to 14.6 14.4 then copy 14.7's openCL files to the sgminer5 folder and the HW errors should go away.

x11mod Not Working: IS WORKING
3x MSI R9-270x
Windows 7 64bit

I've tried the following:
Catalyst 13.2, with copied 14.6 files,
Catalyst 14.4 with copied 14.6 files,
Catalyst 14.6

It crashes or gives nothing but hardware errors.  When it runs with HW errors, the hashrate is significantly higher, but all HW errors.  I've tried with and without config files, and completely removed and reinstalled the drivers 6 times.  I also remember to remove the *.bin files each time.

Cards work fine at standard hashrates with 13.2 only or 14.4 only.  It's strange because this works on a different machine with 13.2 and copied 14.6 files on HD 6870 windows 7 64bit.  Please someone advise me what to do.

**EDIT**
Well I was using the wrong x11mod.cl.  I got them mixed up and was using the one dated 6/3 instead of 6/16.  HW errors are gone and speed is increased to 2.5Mh/s on msi 270x up from ~2Mh/s.

No performance difference for me going from 14.6 to 14.7, however I did notice I didn't need a modified inf for 6 cards, which was nice.  I've been running 14.7 for about 2 weeks now on a test rig and it's been very stable.

I'm currently using "sgminer_x11x13mod_01_07_2014" for x11 and djm34's miner for nist5.

Some good news for groestlcoin miners:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=779598.0

This kernel runs noticeably faster but also HOTTER than normal

Well as far as I know this is the best ... I am trying to get pallas to integrate his super optimized groestl kernel into X11mod, that will boost X11mod I'm sure :)

Forget catalyst 14.9 WHQL performs far worse mining, stick with 14.7RC3 beta

It doesn't - not as-is. Needs quite a bit of modification, or it will make X11mod slower.

Actually, now that I really sit here, look at it, and think about it... pallas' groestl is going about it in quite the wrong way, resulting in issues with memory access. Local memory may be on-chip, but that doesn't mean accessing it is free, especially if you pound the shit out of it...

Maybe. But I don't see any faster groestlcoin/diamond kernel anywhere.

I might try out dumping the tables and computing the hash reference-style, or another way. But I'd use it for the X algos, not groestlcoin or diamond.

Not gonna lie, I'd have to read that shit about five times to even get the point you're trying to make.
That's about automatic creating bitsliced versions of small functions - like converting single table lookup in groestl into several OR/XOR/AND operators.

Good to see some constructive hammering out of improvements to pallas groestlcoin/diamond integration into X11mod :)
I got a great improvement mining DMD with his kernel compiled with 14.7RC3 :)
Sure it runs a lot hotter but 5MHs gain on 280x worth it and I'm still only 67C at 18.4+ MHs

Even modified, it's not much of a gain. There are other, really easy bits of fruit in this kernel to scoop up; but Groestl is fun. Perhaps I'll bump my X11 hashrates some more! :D
Keep me informed :) I also mine X11 coins ...
And would appreciate any improvements to X11mod
Have you made any improvements to hashrate of X11mod posted on OP, I am still using it ...
I am not author of it, just happened to stumble across it on some thread I can't even remember LOL

Just remembered I gotta post a warning about 14.9 WHQL on OP, it kills hashrate LOL

Yeah, it does on all stock miners. And I didn't modify the one in the OP, I did the one in SGMiner 5.
Hmm I am still sgminer 4.1, I have not messed with v5-dev, i cant find a compiled x64 windows one that is up to date with sgminer-dev v5 ...

OP updated with warning about 14.9

btw i do use cpu-miner-wolf to mine X11 on a intel G3220 haswell Dual Pentium CPU and intel Q6600 core2 Quad CPU, have u added diamond to it yet? I have not looked in a long while ... DMD pools require "difficulty-multiplier" : "0.00390625" when mining with sgminer ... I have not yet got a CPU miner to work with a DMD  pool but can mine just fine solo to wallet with groestl without it.
I get all shares rejected when trying CPU mining to DMD pools ...

The full kernel? No. Might I leak a few optimizations? Maybe. And I could probably do some work on neoscrypt, too; just hasn't looked profitable.

my days mining x11 are over, just no profit there, even if i had my 4.4mhs -->6.2mhs
so i dont really care about the kernels myself.

about neo, coins are moving to it one by one, FTC going on friday

They would really use some help with kernel, there is some problem with radeon cards older than hd7000 series.
kernels is not vectorised so cards like 6000 series  have extreme poor hashrate for now.

Don't know, but I know the whole thing does 990W or so at the wall doing these high performance numbers. 115W at idle.

Best hash per watt I've gotten over the whole rig, 270X, 280X, 290X, and 7950, is 22.13MH/s for 610W.

Nice, mine sharing the best hash/per watt kernal :P

Finally finished fixing x13 and x15. I still need to work on the four extra hash functions, but it mines faster, and more importantly, mines correctly.

Why dont you release your optimizations, especially the x11 ones, as closed-source miner with fee, or as an open source miner with donation option?

I've been asked the former before. The latter is a really stupid question - 99% of miners don't donate.

Closed source miners with fees have been reverse engineered before; I simply cannot afford that.

Thats a sad thing to hear about donations, I always kept donation on (as long as the percentage was reasonable).

Anyway, a closed-source miner with fee, is bound to pay for it-self many times before it gets reverce engineered.

Of course if you have a really big GPU farm it may serve you right to keep the mining advantage for yourself.

Wolf, maybe you can help with a problem that i have with my R9 270?
In my system i use 1x hd6950 which is running at full speed, and 1x R9 270 which is hooked up to my monitor, which is running on half speed.

I'm using firefox with a lot off tabs open, but still all goes well, until i want to play a game.
Then the speed of the 270 goes down, and i can't play the game anymore because, how do you call it, it is like playing a game with very old card. it is like the gpu is busy with something else.

Then i disable in sgminer the 270 card, which helps to play the game.
And somehow firefox stops and need to restart it again.

This happened with all versions of sgminer and all AMD drivers, and the old versions of firefox.

My problem mentioned in this page is solved!  ;D

It was a driver issue.
i had installed the new AMD drivers over the old ones.
To keep this in mind:
Always remove the old drivers, use driveruninstall program, and some registery cleaners, so nothing is left behind, then install the new drivers.

I can now open about 20 tabs in FireFox, play Star Trek online, while my gpus hashing in the background. :D
