Title: Determining average expected daily payout from Slush/Deepbit?
Post by: Cablesaurus on April 28, 2011, 04:16:21 AM
I'm running at about 2GHash/s but I'm trying to calculate how much I can expect at current and impending difficulties with the common pools.

The payout meters don't update in real time for obvious reasons, but given their staggered nature I'm finding it hard to average what I can expect per day.

What's the simplest method of guesstimating?

With the current difficulty, at 2GHash/sec, your average generation time is 2 days, 7 hours, 5 minutes.

So, mining solo, every ~2.3 days, you would generate 50BTC. That's ~21.74BTC per day.

Now take out the fees for each pool:

Slush (2%) = ~21.30BTC per day
Deepbit (3%) = ~21.09BTC per day

This does not take in to account differences in stale rates.
