Title: alts going down, remeber when they were going up
Post by: jubalix on June 30, 2014, 01:17:39 AM
I recall about a year / 6 months ago that  alts were going up much more than BTC, now we see that unwinding.....how low will alts go?

You've been here for over a year and a half, and you still ask these questions..

No one knows for sure. That should be obvious.

I think it is over-saturation of the market. Look how many coins there are! Look at it like the paradox of rabbit populations. When the population gets too high, resources become scarce, disease runs rampant, and predators capitalize. We are at that tipping point where the "weak" coins are going to be "killed off" so to speak. We will see here in the coming months what coins rise to the surface, and which ones go into the abyss.

Project YuTübopolis

Project YuTübopolis is delighted to announce the largest crowdfunding campaign in the history of mankind, poised to eclipse the $150,000,000 raised by The DAO (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest_funded_crowdfunding_projects) by 66%, namely $250,000,000 (for those who struggle with performing percentages), as we spring forward on an inevitable path toward fruition and manifestation come summer.

Round 1 of our ICO (Initial Crowdsale Offering) is available here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801101.0 - [🅰NN] 🅸🅲🅾 YuTü.Co.in: First Crypto-commodity 💱 Catering to YouTube 📷 Creators.

In conjunction with BitcoinTalk, a parallel crowdfunding campaign will be on Indiegogo (https://www.indiegogo.com/), managed by a team of experts versed in the platform, conducting a blitzkrieg toward the vast YouTube space in getting its users onboard. Ergo, PAQs are currently cheap to the BitcoinTalk community compared to later as more and more of them will be ongoingly snatched up.

Trading of yAłtcoin shares (yaltz) will commence no later than the third week of June 2017, just prior to VidCon (June 21-24) (http://vidcon.com/). Translated: One's not investing in a non-profit entity where funds will be tied up till September - at the earliest (if you get the drift).

Select details of subsequent funding rounds via procuring discounted PAQs are as follows:

In the same vein that the iconic fast-food hamburger chain White Castle brilliantly adopted the negative connotation ofttimes associated with their square-shaped greasy delights, viz. sliders (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slider_(sandwich)), marketing them as such counter to why aficionados referred to them as such the next morning (if you get the drift), Project YuTübopołis employs the usage of "GAWdiose" (GAWdiose endeavors; GAWdiose plans; etc.; think: GAW (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.0)) and "YTC-Sox" (our exchange; rhymes with Mt Gox (http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/less-2-mt-gox-bankruptcy-claims-accepted-far/)), quasi-embracing oppose to ignoring adversities renown in the cryptocurrency space.

The purpose of this thread is to bring attention to Project YuTübopolis' $250,000,000 ($250M; USD) ICO currently underway, the largest crowdfunding attempt in history, predominantly showcasing in this OP our GAWdiose plans, leaving the finer details viewable on our other thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801101.0), but still welcoming questions and concerns discussions [and well wishes].

Solution: A million plus new alt-coin investors/traders.

Well that would work. But I think, as much as I going to be hated on, there needs to be more Regulation. This market is a scammers heaven.

Rarely does a nascent cryptocurrency appear on the scene at the precise time when the problem it touts solving is all the rage by those providing fodder for nearly one third of all Internet users, viz. YouTube viewers.

Allowing YuTübopolis, Inc.'s GAWdiose (think: extinct GAW (https://themerkle.com/gaw-miners-scam/)) YouTube-themed ambitions saved for a future write-up, it's its predominant subsidiary, YuTü.Co.in (http://yutu.co.in/), designed, in part, to bridge YouTube creators' ongoing coffer-filling gap, currently affected by the Ad-pocalypse (http://mycreatist.com/2017/04/09/ad-pocalypse/) thanks to Google. Exactly how is summed up in one Mr. McGuire-esque hyphenated word - crypto-commodities.

Would a new exchange suffice? BTW, for what I envision and have in the works, all the current alts won't be trading on it, and there'll be a dedicated forum for just the alts affiliated with the niche.

Our millions of traders will be encouraged to explore/trade the various other alts and Bitcoin, many of whom this would be their first foray into cryptocurrencies. Some of the alts under our Brand (TBA) may even break out and start trading on the conventions exchanges as you currently know them, but we won't be trading any alts not indigenous to our brand no matter how popular they are, e.g. Litecoin or Doge.

...how low will alts go?

99+% percent of current alts will probably lose 99+% of their current value, relative to bitcoin, within the next 5yrs.

agreed

But that regulate it self idiots who paly scam alts are eliminating from market stolen BTC won't go on market anymore
lest volume then course less pressure on creating  new scam becouse not many BTC willing to buy their scams.
At the end only real coins will survive with strong communities and devs support.
And this is how it should be.

If you lose at scams - don't buy scam coins then.

Yup but there is to many of them
not all will rise once again.

Now is about 400+ new coins on mintpal queue.
How many coins  from november  on top 100 market cap left how many of them left?
15%-20? - this is sad but most people are losing money buying alts without any future.

we are now about there, were we were end of september begin of november.
Alts are going down a little as btc will skyrocket, but in 2 weeks, they will outperform btc.

Alts with no innovation go down, because they offer nothing new compared to Bitcoin.
Alts with innovation are steady or even going up slightly.
Some are pumps and dumps, so need to look at the longer timeframe picture.

True ,  with so many altcoins in the wild , some are destined to fail and some will keep holding their positions or move up/down a bit.

Most new coins now are all hype pump then dump schemes. Some developers get rich by dumping while the coin drops, Then are mined away into obviation. One day the mining will stop and there will be nothing to process the ledger and the coin will be truly dead.  With such saturation, only established coins with an active and loyal community will survive. Such as Litecoin, Doge or Worldcoin.
