A new initiative from within the world of cyber activism and the cryptocurrency community has been designed by The Debtcoin Team with the goal of combating the giants within the short term or “payday” loan companies.

These companies have almost free reign to charge exorbitant interest rates on loans supposedly designed to help, but which in reality are financial anchors being tied to the feet of those most in need of help, but The Debtcoin Team believes that this doesn’t have to be the case.

The Debtcoin Team is establishing a cryptocurrency based lending system (cryptoloan technology) in which as little as 3% APR woud be charged on small loans based on a Know Your Customer Scheme.

As it stands these companies dominate the short term lending markets charging up to 7,000% interest and still swelling in size despite government backlash, public outcry and even a condemnation from the pope.

The team would like to thank the community for support and recognition already given and hopes to encourage a swift and stable launch through open participation and discussion and can be reached at debtcoin@gmail.com or on the forums at bitcointalk.

Nothing there , post was removed when our account was banned . It was a bit harsh I think , no warning .

ok, to give you the benefit of the doubt; can you explain to us why your original account was banned?

The account was banned because we gave away free coins at launch  . this is against the rules .

As far as I know this is not a scam. I started mining yesterday and have about 3k dbt. My guess is the username was banned because he tried doing another ANN post when there was already one. So in total this would be the 3rd ANN. My only question is where is the white paper? I like this coin just because it's funny. The dev does seem to be working a lot. Who knows this coin might blow up just because of how funny it is. Good luck all!

What I want to know is are you still promising to solve all of the worlds $53 trillion plus debt in 6 months  :D

Our team had 2 main goals when we came together

solve pay day loan problems and world debt . unfortunately you cant solve all the problems at once

We will need another coin for world debt , our dev team will be busy for the next few months with debtcoin but we are hopefull someone will fill the space  .

I just added a couple of MH (300 haha) to the network, I like this one and think it could be a good play.

The dev seems to want it on an exchange asap, and its got a serious name etc so I don't see that being a challenging goal.  Scream Ninja launch all you like, it seems like a genuine mistake.

Dev - Bittrex should be your aim first, to provide better liquidity, which serves your goals IMO.

If you have developed tech, launch it and you might (_might_) see price pick up. If not then this coin is a dead duck. I don't think you'll have much success trying to blackmail your followers into buying up your coin dump with the promise of "tech to be launched if price picks up"  ::)

I was hoping this coin was for real going to put pay day loans stores out of business.

No one seems to care about the evil pay day loan stores trapping poor people in a continuous cycle of poorness.

So we'll just assume this coin is on the dunzo list?

Considering the source of this is running massive scams, I'd say so.  If you downloaded any of their software your system is a part of their botnet.
