I did not know that this ancient bug was that severe. This should be a warning to remain watchful on future releases. Apart from that I don't know why this bug is mentioned in the reply by google, because it has no direct relation to the question. Because Google pulls answers to simple "What/What/Where" questions from Wikipedia when it thinks it's appropriate. Furthermore, the "when" nature of the question probably caused Google to look at the body text underneath the "History" <h2> tag on the wikipedia page, which is a nice little optimization in most cases. Unfortunately the 3rd sentence in the first paragraph of that history section contains the gratuitous line about that old bug. Your issue is with Wikipedia/editors, not Google.
